Evening All,
Looking into Superleggera's at the moment, this one caught my eye:
http://www.sytner.co.uk/car-search/5246832-lamborg...
Have had a lot of 911's over the past few years and also have an F430 Coupe at the moment, but the Superleggera is something I can see me swapping into.
What's the general concencus of where these will be cost-wise in a couple of years time? As limited numbers, will they hold firm (ish) or follow a downward curve towards £100k mark?
Also would be interested to hear any owners thoughts on these cars....I really need some advice as not looked at Lambos before so I'm in new territory

I have gone from 430 to scuderia and now gen 2 Superleggera, and the lambo is the best car by far! If anything they are undervalued at the moment, I cannot recommend them highly enough. People always say 'welcome to the dark side' when you buy your first lambo, and it is so true! It will be interesting to see how the Huracan Superleggera compares with the original in due course. My money is on the Gallardo.
Think all the later ones paddle shift .
I have just sold my LP550-2 2011 car(as they all are), which is 2 wheel drive not 4, love the 570 but is it really circa 40k more than a normal car ?
Gallardo have been at these base level starter money for years, in circa 2007 they dropped to a record low of 50k for the earliest cars.
Later mk2 cars are all LP something with numerous changes and bigger engine, again prices or asking prices have remained stable for the past few years.

Yes, 570 is gen 2. Manual cars are mega rare. But the padels are great on gen2 cars, much improved over the gen 1, still hardcore, but in a nice way. Ferrari challenge stradales are circa £200,000 at the moment, and have far inferior shifts. The car in your link looks very nice, if it has a full lambo history then it seems like good value.

however :
the lhd car has a number of mistakes in the advert, and i'd want more detail on the service history. the mileage is unhealthily low
if the rhd car really has an extended lambo warranty, then it's the first one i've heard of
I would say it comes down to use...
For a pure Sunday toy, the gen 1 in a citrus colour....
If you will be using it more, then the gen 2 as the LP cars are more sorted... Tired of saying this but it was a major rebuild prelp to LP ... The space frame was probably all that didn't change chassis/engine wise.

Good point. Is there somewhere I can go to read about the revisions that were made between mk1 and mk2 cars? I would like to know more. For a pure Sunday toy, the gen 1 in a citrus colour....

Great Cars. I bought my 570 Superleggera 3 years ago (I think it was 3 years...) Used it as a daily for a while, drove to Italy in it. Fantastic car! One of the most reliable cars I've owned as well. Looking into Superleggera's at the moment, this one caught my eye:

As for Gen 1 Superleggera VS 570 Superleggera, that’s personal choice. 570 is quite different as someone has already said. Major revisions to most aspects of the car. Personally I feel the 570 is the better car overall. Gearbox is noticeably better as well. Also think the styling is better.
Values, I can't see them going down. They are relatively "cheap" when compared to its competitors (430 Scuderia, GT3 RS etc). I think part of the “love” for the gen 1 car is the same as with old Porsches, you’ll always hear people say “Oh early cars were better, air cooled are true 911s etc etc”…
Buy one, get the valves jammed open on the exhaust & enjoy it! Awesome cars!
When you first drive the Mk1 SL, the brakes are too harsh, the paddle shift is jerky and it feels generally undeveloped. Then, strangely, as soon as you've parked it, you start feeling like driving it again...
Now, I really like the interaction of the paddle shift, which is more like a manual than other boxes (I would still swap for the real thing if I could find one). Auto mode is completely useless, so you need to change gear all the time! Also, don't have to think twice about the brakes which have become natural, and haven't put any passengers through the windscreen for a while.
I drove a Huracan for a few days last week, and it is a totally different kind of car that you could use every day. Wasn't a big fan, although i can see how it appeals to some. The SL isn't a daily at all, but is definitely one to keep.
Sotto Zeros being fitted next week - should be fun in the promised "El Nino" snow we've been promised!
