My plastic rear diffuser is cracked and was wondering if it would be worthwhile getting a carbon Superleggera one? Would it look tacky, or would it compliment the car. The car is black, so would it show in contrast?

Any experience or photos appreciated.

If you fit one you will probably need to alter the exhaust tips, or they will burn the carbon, even the genuine SL tips discolour it.

First I tried some protection on the diffuser, but that was insufficient

Ended up having new tips made to protect the carbon

No long term damage to the carbon diffuser that I can see with the SL pipes. It goes a bit dull around that area after a while but polishes up fine.

Well, no-one said I would look a tart with an SL carbon diffuser on a std LP, so I've gone ahead and ordered one. Eurospares are discounting them until the end of October, if anybody's interested.
