Can anybody shed any light on how to find the VIN that is apparently stamped on the passenger side floor? The factory say I need to send them a photo of this when applying for the certificate of conformity. They say it is "visible by lifting a special tab in the area facing the passenger seat".

Is this special tab obvious because I've not found it! (No jokes about G spots please)

There is a chance that it will be in the front lefthand-side of the windscreen (looking at it; infront of the driver's seat).

There will be one in the engine bay on the righthand-side on a silver plate.

There is the windscreen vin, a manufacturer I'd plate in the engine compartment and another vin plate in the right hand seat footwall, the elusive one... I wander if this is under the carpet hence we cannot find it... For any factory certificate you need a PIC of both vins..

I already sent them photos of the windscreen and engine bay VINs. They wanted this one too.

I just found it. On my car it is in the right hand footwell, on the floor just in front of the right hand bulkhead there is a slot cut jnto the carpet which lifts to reveal the metal floor and the VIN.
