How do i ever afford a Gallardo?
Discussion
Owning a Lamborghini shouldn't be your target to set out to. Aim to be in the position to live comfortably and the lifestyle of high end cars will eventually come with it.
A nice home and a stress free life should come before a car. In business, you may come to a point where you can afford a Lambo, but you may find you stick with the leased diesel Beemer and reinvest in the business!

Amen! You only earn lots of money for one of three reasons;
You take a job which is dangerous or dirty - where there is muck there is brass.
You have lots of responsibility
You work for yourself - I didn't but I admire those who are brave enough too, my background took away my appetite.
Remember taking the comfortable easy route doesn't get exceptional rewards, any employer can find people to do the average or pretty good.
My advise is get a book called Legacy by James Kerr it's all about the All Blacks to really understand committing to something and working hard to achieve.
I personally never wanted a Lambo I wanted a Ferrari, I reminded myself of that often when I needed a bit of extra personal incentive for over twenty years and I got mine 4 years ago, but you have to keep these things in perspective it's better to have a nice comfortable lifestyle and look after your kids before indulging yourself.
Hope that helps.
Good luck and don't give up.... Never.....

way back when I was about 15 I read an article on how much it took to raise a kid to the age of 18.
back in 1988 when I was 15 they reckoned it woud cost around £120k they may have been right, I don't know, but I did the math and a Ferrari Mondial was only £15k at the time
I vowed never to have kids.
now life gets in the way, and prices go up, houses, marriage and Tax get in the way
but there is no disputing that kids are expensive. If you want them great. If you don't or your ambivilant on the subject don't just have them just because its the done thing.
At age 40 the house was paid for, the 911 in the garage. Last month a Gallardo arrived in the garage to replace the 911.
Its all priorities, figure out what yours are before life foists choices on you.

I combined all three, that got me a Lambo. You take a job which is dangerous or dirty - where there is muck there is brass.

Unless you have a very good education or historical wealth the only way is just work work work, nothing wrong with that though.
Its hard to plan these things.
A lot of the people that had good educations at my school have not done that well, whereas people with good common sense and a great work ethic have done really well.
A few ways you could do it:
Work in sales and pick a product that is in demand.
Have a skill that is in demand, sports or entertainment seem to be obvious ones.
Get a fantastic education and aim towards a career that pays well.
Always having goals to motivate you will help.

Going this route you might be even able to have a child and a Lhambhorgini...back in 1988 when I was 15 they reckoned it woud cost around £120k they may have been right, I don't know, but I did the math and a Ferrari Mondial was only £15k at the time

The feeling of having a child far outweighs owning a Lamborghini. Your missing out if you do not experience it.
Bit of a tautology though GT, having not had children I don't feel I'm "missing out" at all, very glad I didn't bother in fact. If I had I would feel entirely differently of course but I didn't, so you know, I don't.
Having my daughter sit by the side of me making up poems about Ferrari noises is the best of both worlds - it had a Tubi on it then but I like it more now.
My son doesn't rate Ferraris only wows over Lambos, fair play but he will have to earn his own.
Wife just puts up with it, likes the places we go but not always the journey, she sometimes sighs and mutters 'do we have to?' when I put my foot down.
But hey the Ferrari means more than that to me, it even makes me smile when glimpsing it when getting the mower out which is parked next to it.

If ever you do have the chance to purchase your Lamborghini I'd say go for it. Life's there for living and if you really want one then go for it. When I was 18 back in 1998 I really wanted a TVR cerbera having seen Jeremy Clarkson race one against all other supercars of that era, and beat them. A few month later I bought a new 4.2 cerbera and paid £7k insurance. I could have bought a house and made a lot of money, instead i lost a lot of money paying insurance and depreciation on the car. I still wouldn't change anything though.
Thanks guys, We are fortunate enough to have started our own business in catering with our family but my question is mainly how to make a bit of money on the side like online etc.. And yes i have been saving money to buy a flat this year as a Lamborghini is what i want to buy when im completely secure and can afford it, my priorities are straight as

You sound like you have your head screwed on, here's a tip. When you find a way of making money don't tell other people on a public forum Gassing Station | Gallardo/Huracan | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
