Having asked the question regarding a Gallardo or F430 I'm leaning heavily towards the former. I appreciate that it seems the F430 is more of a drivers car (?), and I wouldn't entertain a 4 wheel drive 911 but there's just something about the thought of owning a Lamborghini, perhaps it's the Countach effect, but it seems the Gallardo is the one for me. I'm unlikely to be purchasing until the end of the year/start of next year but I've been looking for a while and simply haven't seen any in the spec I want - manual, standard, post '06 model. Annoyingly a few similar F430's have turned up!
If it was a later air cooled 911 I'd be your man, but with these I'm stumped - so, where should I be looking (VVS??), other than the usual Autotrader & PH, plus who should maintain it, and how much am I likely to loose on a 1-2 year ownership on a decent 06 model probably purchased from a dealer, possibly a main dealer for peace of mind??
Many thanks

Many thanks, looks lovely but too much, looking more £75k...I was in a similar position.... My 2nd car has always been a ragtop... I had 430 cab, California and Gallardo on my list, I wanted the classic supercar wedge shape and after driving all... the Ferraris just didnt give me the wow factor... Plus the dealers were utter idiots when a bald guy wearing a t shirt, jeans and sporting 2 full tattoo sleeves rocked up they didnt even come over to me to see what i wanted. The same happened at Aston Martin..... on the same day, i went to Lamborghini Pangbourne where i met Craig Cairns who couldnt do enough, a totally nice bloke who welcomed my son and I.... He got my business....

Have you actually driven an E-gear?If it was a later air cooled 911 I'd be your man, but with these I'm stumped - so, where should I be looking (VVS??), other than the usual Autotrader & PH, plus who should maintain it, and how much am I likely to loose on a 1-2 year ownership on a decent 06 model probably purchased from a dealer, possibly a main dealer for peace of mind??

There is a reason they are disappearing
yes, the journo's harping on about mega fast seamless changes......allowing one to change mid corner cos one fked the approach up really..... and cos cars are so fast in the bend now there is so many other things to worry about than changing gear.....
funny how in the US, manuals are desired.... all 30 Gallardo anniversary cars in the US were manual.... all sold.....

Shame about the blue interior in my opinion, but perhaps others would prefer it to black. acme said:
