Decided I will treat the spyder to a new exhaust.

Had tubi's on my Ferrari's and was happy with them.

With the V10 though, I'm after some real noise. Looking for a real scream at high revs...

Came across this, and it's sounds absolutely bloody fantastic, just what I'm after.

Being in the US though, importing may be problematic, so has anyone got any other suggestions?

Tubi? Larini? Any others?

I'm all ears...

That sounds pretty fruity.

Try looking here for fabspeed parts.

Got a Capristo on my F355 and that sounds pretty awesome. Real high pitch F1 scream rather than a loud bass noise. Build quality is excellent but they are expensive.
Was definitely the best choice of the big brands for a F355 but don't know what they are like on a V10 Lambo.

The Fabspeed one does sound good in that clip and very sensibly priced compared to Capristo.

I love the stock sound on my Lambo at the moment but keep us posted on how you get on as its a simple mod I usually like to make on my cars when I'm getting bored

Will have a look at Capristo. Are they noted for scream rather than bass?

Been told to look at quicksilver too.

Larini are very good, not heard one on a LP560 though.

Last 560 we sold had a handmade exhaust on made by JP exhausts, they might be worth a try.

They have done some Ferrari work (check gallery). Maybe worth a call.

Been on YouTube all night looking and listening to all sorts.

So far, none matches the scream of the fabspeed in the clip in my first post.

Thing is, that's a gallardo, the LP-560's they do, don't seem to have the same shriek.

On top of that, should I opt for 200 cell cats aswell? Would that make a difference in the sound? And if so, would it be in the tone or volume?

What about bypass pipes? Or would they be too loud?

It's a bloody mine field.

I just want some (high quality) NOISE!!

Capristo is renowned for its F1 style scream and is definitely more high pitched than a Tubi on a F355. I was told it was less so on a 360 but the Capristo is also very good on a F430 especially with the manifolds as well. I think got my previous ones through scuderia systems but they are not cheap

Best you tube video I can find for a capristo on a lambo is

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAQuLANlANM

they are definitely better sounding ( higher pitched ) under load ie on the go rather than a stationary clip

Of the you tube clips, which are not always representative of reality, the Fabspeed sounds really good.

There is a clip of the LP570-4 for sale at SK Motors with a Larini exhaust on You tube somewhere http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0y_AaOllfI

Can't do cats or bypass on a 560 as they are built into manifold, well unless you change that as well or gut the original, but then you need other work to stop the ecu going crazy.

I had capristo, but it's bass rather than whine, can't get the high pitch with the 5.2 engine that the 5.0 made.

Personal preference on sound, but most I have heard from all brands sound pretty similar.

That's intresting, thanks topjay. Just a back box then. Not going to mess about too much.

GBRF430F1. That SK motors car sounds great with the Larini. Have made an enquiry. I assume it's the clubsport version in the clip. I've asked about the loudest one they do!

Scousefella, thanks for that link. May well come in useful.

Fabspeed and Larini are the front runners at the moment then.

There is a firm in Ashford in Kent that has helped design and produce a lot of exhaust parts for some of the US firms like RSC. The place is called Zero Exhausts and the guy to speak to there is Kevin. Ive had some work done from him before for one of my race cars and it is very top notch.

I have considered an exhaust for my Superleggera and would definitely take it to him to get done if I decide to go down that road.

Last time I spoke to him he said he could do you a system which also has a valve system like the stock exhaust so can be reasonably quite'ish when taking it easy - if thats something you are after.

Just looked at zero exhausts website. I'm only 30 mins from Kent. Wouldn't be interested in a valved system, just a decent 'always louder' system. Will enquire as to the price. Thanks for the tip.

Glad you're doing all this research Dan!

Are you sure about the "always on"? I've been mulling a nice set of screaming pipes for a while but I think on European trips or long domestic runs it might get a bit annoying. The valve system would seem to be the best of both worlds.

Capristo is valved, running as standard from the same control as the stock exhaust.

They also offer an option of further valves and a remote control so you can decide exactly how loud you want it at any time. nuts

Fabspeed 70mm supersport x-pipe system and Larini club sport system are the front runners at the moment.

I'm waiting to hear back from other enquiries I've made though.
