Price Drops on The Gallardo

So with the arrival of the Heracan at the end of 14, how will the old car old up price wise?......How many were made exactly....Is the new car going to be built in Italy or at the sausage factory as it is known.......
I had 2, an early car in which the engine blew up, and a 570/4 SP/Super P. Not a bad car...It never broke down like the P700. But very dated chassis. Just about the best sounding engine ever

The 430 is a much safer bet in my view. Albeit at 50k the sausage machine produced Gallardo, looks like value. Hope the new car is priced right.. This or a 430 is my next upgrade.

I see prices firming up TBH. The new Huracan has sold out its 1st 2 years of production and is circa £200k. The spider version will be 2 years later and circa £220k so IMHO a bit like when 458 came out and F430 prices held up well I can see the same if not better happening for Gallardo.
The bottom end of the market at £60k probably isn't going anywhere - where can you get a car that has supercar looks and sounds that good for the same money.
IMHO Spyder versions are likely to hold up better than coupes in the next 3 years as the Huracan option isn't available and 458 spiders are still £200k and Macs £175k.
When I had a £160k available to spend in October I chose the last of the Gallardo's over a 458 and MP4 12C - LP570-4 Performante was my choice and both in the short term and long term I think it will hold its value well and ultimately will become a classic ( Probably not in my tenure though given my previous history of cars worth more now than what I sold them for )
Absolutely cracking supercar with German engineering/build quality and Italian flair and excitement, which makes my old F430 spider seem rather ordinary in comparison

historically around 10% of production has been registered in the uk

You could speculate that around 100 UK Gallardo's were exported but its hard to quantify.

That site is not definitive but it says there are two Gallardo STS's in the UK. I think that is fairly accurate unless they are locked away somewhere and never driven. Only one UK car appears to have been photographed in the UK thus far, possible more have slipped through in Q4.
Anyway, pinch of salt (as with anything on the net).

No but I should be able to find out once everyone returns to work properly in the new year. Its not going to be a big numberI reckon I've had two years in a '08 Spyder for about £5k or maybe less (plus maintenance/tyres at about £9k), in terms of depreciation.
When you look at rental costs, that's a bargain.
Not looking to sell though, as previous posters pointed out, what would you realistically swap it for other than a new one at more than double the price?
I'm happy to roar around in the old bull for a few years yet at least.

this is the problem.....its the cost to change up the new one from the old one....If the new G is sold out I would like to see on what numbers....
Mac has the same problem with the new 12c, The new one will be what 220-30k plus with a spec, 13MYS 12Cs are 130kish......so that 100k to change....just can not see it happening....They need to find new customers......from what I can see in this jnr super car bracket they have all ready been stitched up...

I should have added, if there are people like me, with nothing to change it for because the jump is sooooo big to a new one, supply will be relatively dry, demand stays high, prices stay good.
If the new one is £140k, then you'll see a big exodus from the older models (even I would be tempted), but it's not, so expect people like me to hang on for a bit longer.

I think the days of the £120k supercar are long gone now, so if you've already got one, you'd best keep it!
