You never NEED a car like this so you can stop feeling guilty, you’ve only spent what you lose. Enjoy it and stop fretting.

Exciting times!

Just to check - you are having a £130k car delivered and if you don't like it, you just pay the delivery fee? I suppose it's easier than travelling to the dealership!

Another PHer bought a Gallardo a few months ago and had it delivered from the south to Scotland. I think he just watched detailed videos of the car and made the decision based on that!

I don't think I could even do that to buy a banger let alone a supercar. biggrin

Trevor that’s exactly right.
To be honest I had to top up some of the difference with a bit of finance which is manageable and hopefully I’ll pay off early.

Juggling a lot of balls atm with my son’s horse and a recent used horsebox but that’s the best money I e ever spent just to see him do his stuff with his showjumping.
I’m proud of how hard he works.

I love the 488s lovely lines and a bit more modern than the 458. I’d like to see a pic of that one if and when you’re able.
What part of the country are you in. I’m in Essex (east London borders) some decent roads for the occasional blast around the lanes here. Not sure I’d be so comfortable buying this if I was still living in London.

Hoofy,

Yes delivered in a covered transporter at my cost.
I’ve made it clear I’m prepared to say no.
They haven’t seen my px either so there’s a bit of risk either way.

I’ve seen loads of pics, service stuff and a recent healthcheck at lambo London and unless somebody did 7.5k miles on the track and no other driving I’m optimistic it will be ok.

In short, I’m an optimist smile

smile Well, I hope it's in the condition you want it to be in and that they are happy with your Cali. What happens if they're not? What if they make up something - how will you know they're not lying to knock off an extra £5k?

I'm in South Wales so not too far for some decent roads in and around the Brecon Beacons.

Always happy to share a pic -

That’s a lovely bit of kit there.

Did the salmon the huracan, drives and sounds lovely, for a while I thought I was in an aeroplane with all of those switches and buttons.

Feels planted with the 4 w drive.

Colour was lovely.

One minor niggle. Drivers seat bolster has some wear and marked. But they deducted 250 quid and said if it’s any more than this they will pay it. So now I’ll need somebody who can do a bit of seat colour magic. May need colonising too but other than this the car is pretty spotless.
Even had the original sales receipt which is good to have.

I’m happy

That is lovely, especially the interior. Sounds like you had a good experience with the garage which is good, always helpful to hear feedback.

Also do enjoy without guilt, life is too short to worry about something you are able to purchase!

I have to ask, why is there paper stuck in the other cars wheel?

Sounds like you've had a fair deal and that they are reasonable to deal with. I'm sure you will have a silly grin on your face for a good while to come.

Yes, these people are very good. Answer any question fully and no waffling.

Apparently the car was my Father’s Day present my son says. Not that he paid for it but still.

The paper, well that was my note to father Christmas and he turned up early.

OK I’m talking rubbish, it was the paper that was in the footwell in the lambo and I took it out and rolled it up and put it there whilst I was looking at the car.

You didn’t believe the Father Christmas story anyway did you. smile

I have one more question, well at least for now.
On the huracan the bonnet and wings have ppf. I’m pleased about that but wondered if this was standard on this car from factory if if it may have been aftermarket. Anybody know this?

Many congrats, enjoy in good health

There is now a factory option for ppf but not sure if there was in 2015
Will show on invoice if was but most likely done after delivery
Fwiw only only have front protection on both of mine

I wouldn't have thought that the PPF was factory fitted. It may, however, have been fitted by the suppyling dealer when new.

Thanks

It’s not on invoice but it’s got it to the wings, mirrors and bonnet so I’ll leave well alone.
At least the entire bonnet. Had it on half a bonnet on a black car and i didn’t like the line.

Not so many extras on this car but the fundamental boxes ticked.

Would have liked an upgraded sound system but not a big deal. Might look into something better later.

Ok, the questions keep coming and I apologise for this, I don’t want to wear out my welcome.

I’ve recently sold my Cali v8. It pretty much had to be on a trickle charge 90 percent of the time or it would die and then need recharging.

I’m assuming the 2015 huracan won’t require such pandering or are they the same in this respect?

If so, where does one plug such a thing in. The Ferrari was in the boot and the c tec went straight into a little socket?

If the battery should die at any time, how do I recharge, is it simple as just clamping on a charger like any other car?

Thanks all and again thanks for the positive feedback re the car, drove it today in some heavy showers and felt fully confident. The car felt planted.

On the huracan you have to take the interior light off or something…

ETA In fact here you go

Most Huracans have a charging socket in the front boot under the light, this was a £700 option so not all do, mine doesn't, but I haven't had any problems with the battery draining down.

This thread might help, that bit is in the luggage compartment apparently…
