Joe Macari had (still has?) a replica. Although when I say replica it is really a rebody of a period Ferrari although I can't immediately recall which model. Anyway, I'm pretty sure it would be that you saw.

Concur with JT. It will have been the Macari replica you spotted. Reg is '420 YUY'. It uses the ID of Ferrari 250 GTE s/n 4885GT.
