The Berlinetta Boxer thread
Discussion
Enzo enters the Mid-engined Supercar market with the beautiful Berlinetta Boxer:
- Formula 1 derived Flat 12 engine
- Pininfarina design
- 188 MPH
- The Daytona successor
- Le Mans pedigree
And prices for the best 512BBi have now moved into the 200k+ GBP bracket.
Finally the Boxer is being talked about and acknowledged for the tremendous car it is, bravo!

Would be good to hear from owners of a BB, must be some out there in the Pistonheads world?

These were bedroom wall fodder for my generation (40ish). I reckon the values will keep on climbing. Fabulous cars...
Believe so as well. Also, what else is there in the 200k-300k GBP bracket with the same sort of credentials? Other cars have already disappeared out of reach.
The BB is also the last of the Enzo era cars with hand-beaten body panels.
oh, and the matter of the engine:

That is my car and it is the most amazing car to drive. So beautifully balanced and just as a car should be, no power or electric gizmos,an amazing feeling. Not difficult to drive like lots of other older cars. Absolutely nothing like a 360, both are great cars but this is the last car that Enzo actually had a hand in and is the last of the hand built Ferraris so, to me, is extra special.

The 512BB makes 285k GBP including buyer's premium.

Question is will the owner keep it as is or put their hand in some deep pockets to recommission it?

They are still very very fast cars today, stunning machines.
Does anyone remember the advert with a pair of racing gloved hands and the speedo showing IIRC 180 mph...I believe it was Chris Meek at the wheel
