Any ideas please
Got a 348 very recently - only 4 drives so far!
Couple of questions:
1) The car allegedly has a new battery fitted by supplying garage. Used the car on Monday 21st, stood in garage since. Went to use today and battery was flat - any thought?
2) Started it on jump leads, went out for a drive and noticed all the heater controls and the clock were dead. Can't find the fuse that controls these in the manual and why would it have blown anyway - any thoughts?

They have common issues with the heater control panels. It's doubtful that the two issues are connected. I would have the battery tested and a current draw test carried out in order to check for the battery discharging.

I'd look first at any aftermarket alarms/immobiliser drawing current (and maybe not even 'making' the AC circuit.

No idea if mine draws current - I use a CTEK conditioner

There is a 30 Amp Fuse controlling the Heater Controls that is a known problem on these things - it has probably melted (Been there, fixed that)

It is situated in the front compartment, Right hand side, near the air intake / fan enclosure for the internal heating. I am struggling to describe it - too early in the morning for me and not enough coffee - sorry. Check this out as it explains it better than me

I doubt the 2 issues are related but ya never know with electrics on a 90s Italian sports car !!

Hi all
Thanks for replies. Garage tested battery drain and couldn't find anything. Said the 'new' battery wasn't right one for the car so have had another one fitted. Managed to find the offending fuse through posts on forums.

Have experienced a very subtle fuel starvation issue - see separate thread:
Went out for a good run and as I went to accelerate out of a corner the engine fluttered for a split second just like fuel starvation. The petrol guage was reading quarter tank. I then took it easy for 5 miles or so to the nearest petrol station.
On opening the screw filler cap there was a massive rush of air sucked in, making me think it was starvation caused through a vacuum in the tank. I guess there should be a vent on the tank to prevent this.

Anyone got experience of this or can suggest where and what I should look for?

My 355 does that when removing the petrol cap. No related issues on mine.

Mine is same on unscrewing filler cap. Nothing out of the ordinary. Check throttle cable, this can be an issue with it sticking, also try a battery disconnect ecu relearn
