I’m actively looking for an FF at the moment and despite the varying prices (as discussed in the other thread) there also seem to be varying mileages on the available cars - any thing from 5k to 50k. I’ve always thought to buy a car with the lowest mileage possible and as I’m planning on using the FF almost as a daily that still rings true. Would I be making a mistake buying a ‘higher’ mileage car that’s available now, do these present further problems with higher mileage - not least it will be worthless if I buy a high mileage one and then stick a load of miles on.

I have had mine for about 8 years and c 90k I’m now. It was the cheapest on the market when I bought it (c 11k km on the clock with a very high new price). Not sure what it is worth now, but as mine is/was a daily too it is not in pristine condition (scratches in the bodywork, rims, leather with some blemishes due to my dog etc) - so for a daily I would rather have a higher mileage cheaper one as it will not remain “perfect” (mine was when I bought it, but using it as a daily I knew it would kot remain that way).
I don’t know about stuff breaking with age over and above normal wear and tear - one thing to look out for are the screws (?) on the brake discs get rusty with salt exposure

Your maths is all wrong.
Don’t pay a premium for a low miler and then destroy that premium by putting miles on the car as a daily. Buy a higher miler which is well sorted and drive the pants off it.
The oldest cars will be 13 years old next year. Buy on condition and ignore the garage queens as they’re more likely to throw up some nasty bills than cars which have seen regular use.

Hi. I am a current seller of an FF on Autotrader. I may give a very different opinion to others, but I will share it in case it is a help. I think you might be worrying yourself too much over future values. What ever the mean value (of the n=200 in the UK, I think) will be, your car will sit within that range. (And the range is not truely that wide as you think.) Yes, perhaps it will be towards the lower end of the range if you put another, say, 90k miles on it, but it will not for certain be an outlier. Concern yourself more with the mechanical condition and the evidence to prove it. I reckon the majority of FF owners use their cars and the majority of FFs will have relatively high mileage, even those which currently do not—they will find a daily user eventually and within the time you own yours.

I’ve had BMW M cars, Audi RS products etc but this is my first step into Ferrari ownership. Maybe I’m being over cautious with the warranty but I don’t want to taint my ownership by being unprepared at least as I’m getting used to it.
I agree with worrying over the values etc, I’m overthinking it. I’m going to get it, enjoy it and worry about the future value when I come to sell it. I haven’t got it yet but honestly as far as 4 seater cars in this bracket I’m not sure what id ever replace it with.

To look after mine, I found a Ferrari specialist I trust to give me honest advice. He would give me all his time and it is invaluable to ensure the car is perfect. I will service with a main dealer. The warranty will help you relax, but I'm sure it will be fine. Mine has been.
To reassure you about your decision with an FF being the correct one, I own a couple of Porsches too, a Panamera Turbo S e-hybrid, and have driven the DB12, etc. The FF makes every other four seater feel mundane. A friend and a BMW fan (indicating how you might feel) was very impressed with it. Always a smile holding the wheel and feeling the turns, and when walking up to and away from the car. It is beautiful. I have mine listed but I don't really want to sell it.

Which ones yours?Hi. I don't receive notifications for when someone replies and I missed this question. The advert ceased a few weeks ago; you won't see it now. It is Grigio grey. I love it. I test drove a DB12 but it felt mundane in comparison. It is in me to be always looking for something, but this is teaching me that I have all that I want. Except, eventually I'll need to (should) reduce the number of cars I own. But until the right owner comes along, I'm just going to enjoy the wonderful feels this car gives. When a potential buyer calls, it fills me with a lot of sadness.
Hope the OP is loving his as much.
