FF honesty box
Discussion
Hi all, there’s a load of great information on FF issues on here and I’m aware of the ‘potential’ PTU, DCT, lift etc and ‘big ticket’ replacements such as the carbon ceramics but my question for all you current owners and knowledgeable lot is whether the FF is truly a reliable daily. Once any issues are fixed can it be driven without complaint or does it in reality throw up errors every few months/weeks which would make it less livable with, at least for me.
Any insight gratefully received and sorry for the long post!

The more you drive the cars, the more reliable they are.
Mine is certainly getting better with use!I'd add to this, stick it on a trickle charger if you have so much as 3 days off driving it and many glitches seem to be eliminated through that.
My Power15 expires in November (previous owner applied it) and I'm really on the fence about renewing. Hopefully it's not luring me in to a false sense of security but it's running beautifully
Mine has also been completely reliable, the only problem being the common issue of a leaking PTU hose and also a failed oil pressure sender which was a bit annoying as it's gearbox out to replace.
I also changed the battery in January after 5 years and have had zero warning lights since then - it's not even on a trickle charger and is used probably once a week. I used a Bosch S5 Type 019 95AH AGM battery for reference

Only had mine for 8 months and it's been totally reliable. Used every weekend and many times during the week. When stuck on the M25 last weekend for around 90 minutes it did use quite a bit of fuel but on my trip back home was perfect. Mine is on the CTEK when not used for a few days and I'm going to replace the battery before this winter as it's the original one from 2012.
I think the fuel consumption is pretty reasonable given the engine characteristics and weight of the car.
Around town it's pretty comical (I'm sure it's single digit MPG), but on the motorway I've managed to get nearly 300 miles out of it with around 10l still left in the tank, and that's not sticking religiously to 70mph either...
