Ferrari thefts
Discussion
Some recent reports of a significant increase in Ferrari thefts in London. Gangs stealing 812s, 488s, & Pistas with ease.
This is a 812GTS stollen in a few minutes from a street in London.

A suggestion that international gangs may have cracked the Ferrari security protocols ?

It's not big news that cars with keyless entry/start can be stolen; the concern is more that someone's found a market for 'hot' Ferraris, and thus a motivation to do so.

Ferrari suffered a data hack in March this year. I’ve not seen any proof that the thefts are related but seems a little coincidental.
I'm not sure if it's that relevant given that most of the London thefts appear to be from the street or public car parks. It's not hard to find a modern Ferrari in London if you're looking for one.A new Bentley in our street in London had someone with a portable electric angle grinder cut into the front bumper at 2am last week in order to steal 2 components that are housed behind the bumper. Apparently they are unavailable from Bentley.
The next morning the police suggested to me that I should remove my Ferrari FF off the street as it would end up being targeted. 6 cars, 4 Ferraris and 2 Rolls Royce Cullinans have been stolen within 500 m of where I park my car in the last month. Several from inside underground carparks like Q Park on Kinnerton Street (812 GTS and Cullinan).

Do 812s have keyless start? I wonder if the security leak has released the security codes to thieves. We had a GT4 Lusso stolen from a local underground QPark recently. Does this have keyless start?belfry said:
