Hey all,

Just picked up an 812 in black. Lovely car and definitely enjoying it, in fact I'm using it as my daily.

One thing I don't like, is the 20" wheels seem a little small in the arches, the front one in particular, so I'm looking at alternatives.

I notice a lot of USA cars go the 22" route but this looks too extreme and I'm sure the ride is woeful, this leads me to think 21" would be perfect, and probably match with some Novitec wheel spacers. May need to sit a touch lower as well.

Are there any recommendations for well engineered aftermarket wheels to suit?

Congratulations on the 812. That's a beautiful spec.

The US chariot wheel fitments you see are 21/22 staggered combos. They also tend to drop the suspension at the same time for that ‘slammed’ look.

The go-to custom wheel providers in the US are HRE if that’s the look you’re after. You won't need spacers with a custom wheel as the offset is built into the custom wheel. You will need to decide in advance if you're going to drop the suspension though as the visual offset changes as you lower the suspension. If you want to lower the car, I'd advise doing so on the stock wheels before ordering the custom wheels. That way, you can decide if you can live with the poorer road comfort caused by the lower ride height. Do you have lift on your car? It's essential if you're planning to lower it.

Also, be aware that the wheel industry in the US is unregulated so be careful who you buy from. The key issue you face is ensuring that the wheels are strong enough as the 812 is a heavy car.

I looked into a custom wheel set for my FF and concluded that 21/22 was too aggressive and went with 20/21. Finding strong enough TUV certified wheels was a challenge but I went with OZ Racing in the end and couldn’t be happier. There's also a nice link with OZ as they supply Ferrari's F1 wheels (as well as the HGTE wheels for the 599). If they're good enough for the scuderia, they're good enough for me!
