Anyone know the manufacturer recommendation for tyre pressures for MPS4s on the 599?
There's a thread on Ferrari Chat but it's inconclusive. When I checked the car they had been set at 36-38psi.
And it's not in the manual wink

Which wheel and tyre sizes are you running?

Front
Manufacture date 43/21
Size 245/35/ZR20 95Y extra load
NOT K marked

Rear
Manufacture date 35/21
Size 305/35/ZR20 104Y
NOT K marked

I have sent an email to Michelin technical support. We'll see if we get a reply

I'm running 33psi all round on my FFs non-stock MPS4S setup
265/35/20 F
315/30/21 R

The 33psi was suggested by a very knowledgeable trye guy on FChat and my indy (who also sets up race cars) independently suggested 33psi as well. It works a treat.

My tyres have a bit more volume than yours so you should be running higher pressures than I am but I would have thought that your current pressures are a bit on the high side.

Hi ANOpax,

Thank you very much for that. I will change to 33psi all round.

I did get a reply from Michelin, only to tell me to contact Ferrari rolleyes

You're welcome. Let us know how you get on. As I mentioned earlier, my tyres are running higher volumes than yours so, I'd suggest starting at 33psi as a baseline and then increase the pressure a bit to see how the handling changes and settle on the setup which you prefer.

Shame that Michelin passed the buck back to Ferrari. And I bet that if you speak to Ferrari then they'll say 'we don't recommend the fitment of non-approved tyre.' rolleyes

Ferrari not interested, not a K marked tyre, not an OEM tyre for that model.

F12 has Michelin Pilot Super Sport with recommended pressure

Pretty much as you have recommended. I know it is not exactly the same car / tyre but at least it is similar. I'll put a couple extra psi in the front and see. I am sure that I will not notice 2 psi but it makes me happy

when i put MPS4s on my F430 i went up significantly on the front tyre pressure (+4psi) and rear (+2psi) over the supersports I had before in an attempt to improve the response from them. I would base your tyre pressure on your own feel rather than relying too much on the internet.
