My new 812SF...what an amazing car.!
Discussion
Finally had time to pick up my recently purchased 812 Superfast and what a car ! Without doubt the most exhilarating car i've had the pleasure of owning. Its a Rosso Fuoco with Race seats. I picked her up today with my 18yr old son and we both grinned like Cheshire cats every one of the 160 miles home.
It feels so light on its feet like a 250kg lighter Sports car with an amazing agility no car of this size should have. It rewrites the laws of physics.! Surprise number one was how serenely it rode B roads even with the Bumpy Road mode switched off which is at odds with what some reviewers have reported. Based on my drive home i see no need to soften the dampers from its default setting.
The info entertainment screens and controls are so much easier and faster to use compared to my 488. The steering wheel controls for indicators, wipers and main beam control finally feels very intuitive to use in complete contrast to the other Ferraris i've owned.
So far i can't fault the 812 in any way and fully expect to keep her for a very long time.
Keeping the best for last is the absolute masterpiece of an engine, even Da Vinci would be proud of. Its quite simply the best engine ever put in a road legal car. It revs so quickly yet is as smooth as butter with a wailing scream. So much better sounding than my old 458 and 488 ever did.

Wonderful, that engine alone makes you soon forget the purchase invoice. I hope you get lots of opportunity to stretch its legs, enjoy !
Thanks Seawise. As you said before the 812 is pretty much full on, maybe too much sometimes but as an adrenalin pump unbeatable IMO. Its at complete odds with the way all modern cars are headed and probably last of an era.

I knew you’d enjoy it! Congratulations; sounds a lovely spec as well. Sounds a bit pathetic, but I felt a bit emotional after my first proper run out in mine. Sounds like this might be a keeper? Looking forward to seeing a couple of pics…..
Hi Gary.Enjoyed reading your impressions on your stunning 812 bought from the same place. My sentiments on the 812 concur with yours 100%.

Yep, enjoy them whilst we are still able. End of an era sadly, but it is what it is. As you said before the 812 is pretty much full on, maybe too much sometimes but as an adrenalin pump unbeatable IMO. Its at complete odds with the way all modern cars are headed and probably last of an era.
Looks stunning !

Lovely - looks fast even stationary..... Wonder why it's raining so hard in the video but none hitting the ground?! Interior looks very nice too - love the seat colours and accents. I hope you checked the passenger side, as they didn't seem keen to show you that though https://video.citnow.com/vt6QrRLxbKX

Enjoy - am sure you will.

Ha Ha.. Glad you enjoyed the background static which makes a great impression of falling raindrops.
