Now I have no doubt that this is the best drivers car since time began but design-wise in real life at the traffic lights, it is somehow missing the Ferrari wow factor, particularly in black, all the spoilers make it look like a tuned Toyota Supra, it's unfortunately, a bit like the Bentley Bentayga MK1 looking like a taxi cab

Here’s a picture of my recently delivered car..... you know what, I can actually see what you mean....
Looking at it ‘in real life’ if I blur my vision and squint real hard, I can in fact see the similarities in that has four wheels and two doors, just like a Supra. Well spotted thumbup

People said the 550 looked like a Supra when it came out too (an earlier model), and must admit that personally I didn’t think it looked like a Ferrari should at all. Somehow time has been kind to it though, and now it looks like a (slightly more) modern Daytona.

Whereas the old Supra still looks like an old Supra…

thank you mods for moving this helpful thread from the V8 to its rightful V12 section
makes it easier to find when we need to reference it in future smile

It’s always reminded me of a V12 Yaris

I think he's right! Ferrari have always taken their design cues from Toyota. Remember how they copied the MR2 with the 355? wink

having owned both, i would argue that the F12 is the better resolved design and that the 812 is especially colour sensitive.

it is funny how Ferrari design ages well though. when the 550/575 series first launched in the late 1990's i remember thinking it looked a bit Japanese, but now i think it's matured nicely and is a very elegant design.

i suppose it goes to prove that they know what they are doing.

An 812 GTS is top of my list at the moment, but do agree that the F12 is cleaner and nicer design.
Also prefer the 550 looks over the later car.

I saw and heard one (812 GTS) at the FOC pista day at Goodwood last month, dear God what a machine. Absolutely fabulous! He even got a noise flag at one point much to everyone's amusement.

Not a fan of this or any of the recent ferraris. I really liked the 599 and the FF but it’s been downhill since.

Not quite sure what you’re getting at, does it matter if I haven’t driven or owned one?
