I’ve got the Ferrari itch. I really want a V12, thinking of a GTC4Lusso as a weekend family car. Would love an 812 but I’ve already got 2 two seaters and they hardly get used. Anything I need to look out for on a Lusso? What specification options should I be keeping an eye out for? Is it worth paying a bit more and going through Ferrari rather than an independent? I’d be worried buying without warranty, does anyone know the extended warranty costs via Ferrari?
I bought one last July, 2yrs old with 5k miles. It now has 18k miles on it!
Best car out there imo, certainly at today’s prices/value.
The warranty is 4yrs, if you buy from a dealer you will get 2 years from purchase so worth it for older cars I think.
In terms of spec, pano roof is a favourite, plus usual carbon stuff (if you are looking towards selling it again). Passenger display is worthless to me, but Apple CarPlay is another one that you should look for.
Some good specs around, and it’s worth calling dealers to see what they have off the radar - that’s how I got mine.

Brilliant cars, bought mine new in 2018 and absolutely loved it, it was so nice to have a 'special car' that would seat more than one passenger. Unfortunately someone crashed into mine while it was parked so I always had this in my mind even though it had been properly repaired, it just didn't feel the same. Sold it a couple of months ago when a dealer who knew the story was happy to buy it, I didn't have to have an awkward conversation to a private buyer saying that it had previously been damaged but is all ok now. I really wish they were still making them as I would probably have another, I can't think of any other four seater that offers the same usability, especially as most performance four seaters are actually two seaters with zero rear leg room.
Definitely buy from either a Ferrari dealer or one of the good specialists, Bramley, TOP555, Romans etc.

I am also seriously considering a Lusso for the 4 seats, the V12 engine and hopefully all wheel drive allowing it to be usable even in the winter months!
Can anyone confirm if they have isofix in the rear seats?
Yes they do have Isofix. Can anyone confirm if they have isofix in the rear seats?
I drive my FF in winter on winter tyres, tbh the 4x4 is not that brilliant, limited to the first 3 gears (I believe the Lusso is the same), I did an ice driving event with Ferrari in the Lusso and they really struggled with the traction control constantly cutting in winter mode, we had to go to sport and the full drifting experience, great fun but not so good on a public highway

I didn’t have any problem with Lusso through the winter, inc on snow. Of course it’s still a big heavy car, and contact patch width is not helpful, so you don’t throw it around, but it went everywhere with little issue. I put winters on October to April did about 8k miles in that time, (and didn’t wash it once)!

I believe that the FF and v12 Lusso are 4WD in the first 4 gears. I can well imagine that the TC was cutting in and not allowing you to get a drift on in snow mode as that’s what it’s programmed to do. Just as wet mode won’t let you behave like a hooligan if you’ve got any steering angle applied. I did the ice driving event and on the way there I drove up the pass to Chamonix from the Swiss side in heavy snow fall with lots of snow on the road - 4wd works exceptionally well to move forward IMO. My FF has tons of snow miles on it and I never got stuck
Of course if you want to go fast you have to switch to a different mode

Now you’re making me ‘homesick’…no ski Chamonix was worst part of 2020 for me. Have been on that road many times in the snow. Best fun was probably in a Cosworth Impreza or a Focus RS.Of course if you want to go fast you have to switch to a different mode

So after searching for the perfect spec Lusso I have ended up putting a deposit down on an 812! Convinced myself I would rarely be taking the newborn out in a Ferrari so didn’t need the back seats. After a week of man maths I concluded an 812 was the one for me……counting down the days until collection!
