For the last year I have had a problem with the driver's electric seat adjustment in my 599. Sometimes it works perfectly, other times it's completely dead - won't go back/forward/up/down etc. Unfortunately every time it goes to the dealer it works perfectly. I have tried the obvious eg checking the connections, killing the car for an hour with the kill switch etc but can't get to the bottom of it. It's not a major drama as (when it does work) I always leave the seat where I would normally have it, but it is a bit of a pain as I do like to tweak the seat depending what shoes I'm wearing etc. If anyone has any ideas I would be grateful.

The seat ecu is at fault. There will be stored fault codes if you connect to the seat ecu. You can get a £50 code reader to do this.

The ecus are fairly easy to remove- could always take it out and sent it off to one of the reputable dash/ecu repair companies in the UK.

Thanks for 5he suggestion. However the dealer confirms they have tried this and no faults showing.

I am not familiar with this model but had a Maserati GT that had seat a module (ecu) that was known to play up.
I just looked on Eurospares & it looks like the ECU is the same for both seats?
Swap them over for a couple months and see if the fault goes away. Then decide if it's worth £1250 for your Mrs. to be able to adjust her seat...

I might try that when I next get the car out. It's currently tucked up and SORN'd and I see little point in taxing it at the moment as there's no where to take it.
