456M GTA Handbrake issue

y car just failed it's MOT for the handbrake not working properly with less than 50% efficiency. Well the car has done 39 miles since previous MOT when this issue was addressed and in fact new rear brakes were fitted. So nothing should have come loose or need adjusting in practise. Of course it is a 456 ....I am wondering if the tester is not applying correctly......

Handbrakes are notoriously rubbish and I had mine retentioned several times and always before an MoT.

Think it's the adjustment, had the same issue on mine

Maybe the fact that it has only done 39 miles is the problem.

No, it's the routing of the cable
