456 M GTA Fog lights and sticky headlight
Discussion
The fog lights on my 456 do not seem to be coming on (despite passing this part of the MOT on Friday). I have the headlights on, move the switch and the dash light comes on but sadly no lights illuminated.
Additionally the offside headlight pops up more slowly than the nearside. When I drove it back from the MOT on Friday it was stubbornly staying down but after a run seems to be reacting as expected. Any advice?

Headlight lift motors are Volvo 480ES - quite rare now, about £200 if you can find a new one at a Volvo dealer perhaps.
Often its cabling in the unit - there is a sealed set of wires as part of the unit that seems to corrode.
Alternatively it could be the signal cable from the Ferrari fuse box - had that one with my 456GT - now got temporary jump cable from other side to provide enough current to engage it - been temporary for last 5 years :-(
