My research to find the best exhaust option for a V12 Lusso has led me to these 3 options:
1) Novitec (very expensive vs the other options)
2) Capristo (German quality and good value)
3) Kline (Good value for a full system and cheaper for the equivalent components of Capristo but Romanian built.)

The best price I have gotten so far for the Capristo is just over £5k installed for the xpipe, controller and valves rear exhaust components.

Anyone heard the Capristo on a V12 Lusso or F12? Any thoughts? Is this a good price?

Kline’s full system including 200 cats seems to sound mega, but I worry it might be too loud on cold startup even with valves closed. Anyone have experience with it?

Thanks guys

I think all good but friend has Novitec and he's very happy with it. His car sounds flipping ridiculous.

Best sounding exhaust I’ve ever had was a Larini on a Maserati. Tuneful, not just loud.
They do one for Lusso, but I’ve never heard it. Have you looked at that?

No personal experience of any but if I had a choice from what I’ve heard via various videos, then this wins for me...

A pipe from the manifold exiting just behind the front wheel. Replicated on the other side.

V12 noises need to be shared with as many people as possible 👍

Surely it has to be this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-iV59F7E7s

The imfamous Japanesse 'F1 sounding S600'

$12,000 USD for a small garage in Japan to custom build it.

if it can make a slushbox merc limo sound like that, imagine what it can do with a high revving Ferrari V12

I am going to pull the trigger on a Capristo system. Need to find where I can get the best deal. Any ideas?

This guy custom builds the most outstanding exhausts for 550/575 maranellos amoung other things.

He may be interested in fabricating a Lusso system.

These really are works of art.

Having done the research you are now doing, I went for:

Novitec back box (yes I know it's expensive)
Capristo X-Pipe
Capristo valve controller

Definitley would recommend Capristo.
If you're local to London area, i can source and fit for a better price, I run my own luxury vehicle repair business and get a good deal with capristo. Drop me a PM if interested

I agree. I've put Larini Clubsports on all my Lamborghinis. Superb.

On Ferrari chat the consensus seems to be that x Pipe and boxes does not change the situation dramatically. That’s because the oem boxes are valved and become straight through when open anyways. And that actually the x pipe makes the system quieter if anything but with higher pitched sound at high revs.

The main improvement will come from cats being replaced with 200cel ones. That’s where you stand to gain most. If you pair that with x Pipe then you will have bearable lower revs and f1 scream at the top. Valve controller IMHO then a must and I think you can do away with the boxes unless you want to have all same brand/material.

Have a look on FerrariChat there’s a lot of different experiences there but in the end the guys looking for material upgrade in sound end up going cat route.
