Economic uncertainty?
Don’t know - spoke to a dealer recently who has one for sale (Pista) for 40k euros above list (30 to the customer, 10 to him)
No chance in my view. Think it should be list now. Don’t know - spoke to a dealer recently who has one for sale (Pista) for 40k euros above list (30 to the customer, 10 to him)
also was told you can lease a 720S for 1,900 Euros a month (no down payment) - need to call McL soon to find out if that is true, as that would be quite amazing imo.

Staggering amount of new Ferrari models this year....even the most fervent collector/customer can’t buy and keep all these cars! Disn;t Tom Hartley Jnr have an 812’ that was £100k below list?
It was a Lusso.Edit. and I know this does not have any implication on the original statement quoted

Yeah that could be it but the new models are not delivered yet as far as I know. And one would lose a lot by selling a 812 after one year ...And I thought it wasn t allowed to sell a special within 2 years or so?

812 wasn't a special car per se, there was just a lot of hype at the timeAnd I thought it wasn t allowed to sell a special within 2 years or so?

With the arguably prettier F12 now down to £160K where do we see 812s falling to in a couple of years time..A six year old F12 can now be bought for £160K so will the same age 812s be the same price in four years time i wonder..Taffy66 said:

Over on FChat some people who got passed over for allocation are getting call backs from dealers about available allocations which is usually a bad sign for flippers but good news for enthusiast. The only Pista that will probably hold value will be the Piloti.

I don’t think it’s so much to do with the numbers, it’s down to the fact that the F8 has the identical engine, with some chassis development and deliveries starting in the next couple of months, before even some people have received their Pista’s. Oh and it’s cheaper. Talk about sticking it to your most loyal customers (I couldn’t give a stuff about the vloggers/flippers).Edited by garystoybox on Friday 8th November 22:54

Wow, that is not good ..
Still I d rather have a Pista than a F8, probably more direct/raw, and the F8 sounds like a Toyota ...

to qualify an 812 GTS order, one needs to have v12 "Ferrari scores". Having special edition scores is not enough. People bought 812 coupe so they could get a slot of 812 GTS. Yes, they may lose money in 812 coupe but 812 GTS will be trading at a significant premium, which is more than enough to offset the loss. I think 812 coupe price will drop quite meaningfully. many buyers were just not interested in 812 coupe itself. Sadly this is the game you need to play with F - one of very few car OEMs with this strong pricing power.
F seems to change the strategy in the middle of pista production. Initially it was very difficult to get a slot. I was told no initially due to lower F scores (only had 2 normal cars and 2 special cars, of which 3 were new orders and 1 was a used car.). then about six months later, the dealer called back saying they managed to secure a slot of pista for me on condition that it had to be a fully loaded car (i.e. min spending requirement for options), which I really hate. I would have probably specced lots of extra anyway had I decided to order but I hate being told to tick options. Only F does this, which is really really annoying. I did not like the engine sound either so I did not proceed.
As SVJ said above, pista piloti is very rare. It was only offered those who bought a track car before. saw one in Maranello when I dropped my car to do the service. imho, it is a pista with cosmetic changes full of italian flag colours inside and outside...
