So, after much searching, I finally got my hands on a 599 and I'm a very happy camper. Hats off to the original owner, because he ordered it pretty much exactly as I'd have done if I'd had 220 grand burning a hole in my pocket in March 2008 smile The only thing I'd perhaps change is the parcel shelf, converting it from carpet to black leather with red stitching, to match the Daytona seats/inserts and the rest of the interior. Has anyone else done this? Any suggestions what the cost might be? Thanks.

Not done it but having toured with both the carpet does allow you to put bags on the rear without worrying about damage.

Congratulations! I loved my 599. Would definitely have another one.

Re: Parcel Shelf, my car also had the carpet & I have to echo the above comments, it allows you to use it without panicking about marking the leather. If I were you I'd keep it.

If you do decide to change it, call a few trimmers to get a better idea for cost. It shouldn't bee too much as it's not much arear, my guess (Having had prices for retrimming seats, steering wheels etc) would be £500 - £1000.
