hi everyone, can anyone give me a steer on the cost of a basic service on a 456, have just being quoted £700 + VAT and based on what they told me they do, (which is the roughly the same as what my range rover has done) that seems a bit toppy? i have just paid £400 inc VAT for that being serviced....

also any recommendations of where to take it?

cheers

"All prices subject to VAT at 17.5%". You would think they would bother to update their website every once in a while wouldn't you? VAT has been 20% for 4 years now.

A main dealer quoted me £700 for my 550 which is a similar car, so seems about right to me. Not sure how much specialists vary, depends what they do as some go beyond the OEM schedule

Thats about right, most of the indies charge £700-750 plus vat for the annual, you will be v lucky to come away only paying for that, there will be other things that need doing!!! Just the filters, oil etc. will be £100. I use Grimaldis, but have also used SMDG, Duxford and SB racing near Watford, all good. Dont use Verdi if he still alive!!!

Chipping in for SMDG here too. They looked after mine, they're definitely worth a call. And they have light fab capability too, so if you do need to replace a left handed sprocket flange at £600 from the factory, they can make in-house.
