F12 purchase

Does anyone have any experience of running an F12? Any advice for buying a secondhand one?

Not run one but have driven a few and think it is a fantastic car.
7 year servicing package should help with running costs.

Agreed, fantastic cars. The engine is sensational. Just taken delivery of a 2015 Tour de France car. Whilst I was waiting for the new car I bought a used car from HR Owen - as above, 7 year warranty and servicing takes all the stress away. Did 4,000 miles and loved every one. My Grigio car is still for sale - PM me if you'd like to know more.

I also did Pilota driving course at Fiorano last year and drove their F12s and 458s on track for two days - both utterly intoxicating!

What would you say about the F12 sound?...I had an FF and was very disappointed with the sound, it was way too quiet, I ended up putting a Novitec exhaust on it, but it was still muted in the cabin
Previous to that had a 458, that sounded great....contemplating an F12, but think I need to hear one, FF apparently has lots of sound insulation in it that makes it quiet, hoping the F12 is a bit more vocal

I have had 2 F12s. Coming initially from Aston V12vantage with supersport quicksilver back box, the f12 was quiet. Disconnecting the valves removes the on off noise at ~3500 rpm which I found a bit annoying.

Then changed the back box and center x pipe for IPE. That was louder but it still didn't quite get there for me. Personally not convinced the x pipe did anything too much.

Then changed the cats for IPE cats. Now it sounds awesome. 1 CEL in 6 months, cleared with £25 OBDII reader from ebay.
