Saw a silver F50 wrapped round a lamppost near Northampton yesterday, half the hedge taken out for a good few meters. Don't know how much they cost but half the car was destroyed - couldn't have been more than 200meters off a roundabout exit too.
The driver was fine as far as I could make out, must have been the shock making him laugh standing by the side of the car whilst plod directed traffic.
Quite a sight.

That will be repaired, at a cost !!

I think the engine is a completely stressed member and is indeed directly attached to the bulkheads, with the rear suspension attaching to the engine/gearbox. Think one of the criticisms about the F50 was of excessive NVH due to this setup.
Which also means the engine was likely heavily damaged during this accident. Not sure how many spare engines there are lying around...

So I'm assuming this random bloke has first hand experience of driving F50s then.
i find them very compliant to drive , not unforgiving at all in my opinion So I'm assuming this random bloke has first hand experience of driving F50s then.
