Was only a matter of time. Saving on list too (I guess options price). I think it looks good, like the seats very much.

That surprises me, so early on in the lifecyle. Was only a matter of time. Saving on list too (I guess options price). I think it looks good, like the seats very much.

Even under list the Hartley or Romans cars not shot off the forecourt so to speak. Is the F12 proving to be like the FF ? Strange as it has had amazing reviews. What is the problem ?
There was a time when the V12 Ferrari was the top dog in terms of bragging rights. So if you were a super rich of that time period (sportman, shipping magnate, industrialist) then this was the car for you. But nowadays the super rich buy Bugattis, Zondas, Enzos etc for £1million, because they are exclusive. The F12 is a mass produced ferrari and the punters are no longer the elite. So prices are falling.Plus it looks good but not stunning...Aventador anyday over one of these.
Know what you mean about Aventador, had one on loan for 10 days, is simply wonderful to look at, from any angle. Though not as complete as the F12 the lambo, I guess the F12 just looks a little normal. 599 still gets lots of positive comments when seen out on the road too. Good news for me, as I like V12 GT cars, so if it follows the FF could be game on. All V12 cars have lost huge money in first years though, that will also stop many, as it does not matter how much you have, just burning thousands in minutes is not what made someone wealthy in the first place.

Hideous looking thing. Couldn't care less what it drives like, I will never want one.
At this level a car should take your breath away, an Aventador does that, this doesn't even get close.
Looks are subjective - I loved the Aventador then read a test where it was absolutely mullered in every department by the F12, every journo was very disappointed with the Lambo and equally amazed by the F12.At this level a car should take your breath away, an Aventador does that, this doesn't even get close.
Shame.
And as I said, I couldn't care less.
Will the F12 be a poster car? No. It's a dogs dinner.
Do you honestly think any average buyer will be anything but blown away by an Aventador?
And do you think he will care that at ten tenths the F12 may hold an advantage?
Looks/presence/stance/perception etc etc matter at this level more than feeling at the absolute limit.

As for the Aventador, yes, I think it's hugely entertaining to look at and I admire VAG's design audacity, but it's too in-ya-face for me.

Do you really think that a lot of people who can afford cars like these want to be seen in a silly spaceship mimicing car like an Aventador.Don't think so, most of those people are well past the age of toilet training and pimples.
And theres a far cheaper solution for people that want an Aventador: buy an Audi and strap a very large gold plated penis to the roof, the result is the same: the performance and the way it delivers it are both irrelevant, it's just as vulgar and you get the same amount of attention.

I have to agree that for the first time in a while the V8 looks much better than the v12 bigger brother (360 v 550/575, f430 v 599)..
Maybe a decent set of wheels would suit better? Those just look too plain and old.. Remember when the 599 initially came out with those hideous star-shaped alloys.. Then everybody went for the monolithic challenge shaped ones which worked incredibly better..
But I do also have to agree that at this level you need to have more presence.. Maybe not aventador presence but needs to be more exotic. And dare I say it.. Even if more vulgar.. The aventador just looks much better. After all who said porn stars could not good looking ? :-)

It s a question of personal taste. To me, I would have an F12 over an Aventador every day of the week, twice on Sundays.
There's certainly people around that would be the other way around. An F12 is 'shouty' enough for me and IMO its a great looking car.
The good news is, we don't all agree....otherwise they wouldn't be below list already!
