Notes? Your comedy notes… down, what are you talking about, have you seen Main Dealer prices, I’m not talking about that horrendous Interior one at Simon Furlonger, that’s no outlier of the market. Real world experience, Romans sold their F12 at 177 to a guy who had already put down on a 812, saw both cars bought the F12 within a week. Non Red cars seem to fly off the shelves, unlucky for me because I can’t do Red Ferrari anything. Those notes of yours are only good for the fireplace now. I don’t know how this horrendous 12 Cilindri will affect prices but my gut says F12 & 812 will stay strong for obvious reasons. My preference is F12, but can see 812 strong as well with the non GPF Coupe.
Whats wrong with tracking price etc? Its a chunk of cash to lay out, so nothing wrong in seeing how much the real cost is.

I can't put my notes in the fire, as laptops don't burn great!

Look who is back.. to try and single-handedly bring down F12 prices again! Call yourself Frankly Chop Suey, because that is what you speak about. A guy who is worried about depreciation all the time rather than buy and drive, then goes and buys a money pit Mclaren 650S!! You cant make it up, too funny. Head back into your aunts loft for a tommy tank this bank holiday..
Why are you trying to be so offensive, you come across as very insecure you should speak to someone about it.

Yes I have bought a 650s, i'm not sure why you think its a money pit, or what thats got to do with anything?

That st Albans car sold over a year ago and they kept the advert up for months, and even though I’m not a fan of 812 looks, they are not coming down to high 1’s due to the release of 12 cilindri. 6 months ago when I was um and argh on a F12 a 812 was offered to me at 199,995 with 38000 miles on it, they sold it 15 mins after going live and the phone never stopped until advert went off Ferrari System. Admitted they priced it wrong and let the deal go through with first caller. Anyway it’s a forum and all about opinions.
thats a more balanced response.

?? Who are you, the forum police? Balanced because I didn’t agree with you? My reponse to your taking notes on F12 was valid, it’s comical to me, because I’m out here trying to buy an F12 in the colour I want for over 12 months and the market is one thing and your notes are another thing.
When you make stupid comments directed at me, I’m allowed to reply.

I’m not looking to buy an f12 at the minute. I ended up test driving 488’s, however wanted a convertible, then ended up with a mclaren 650s spider after driving f12’s/488’s. I’ll revisit f12’s in the future.

McLaren owners aren’t nearly as angry and some of the posters in this thread.

can we please direct any depreciation threads to the Porsche forums please smile
as all sensible threads that are posted there descend into how badly the car is priced and will be worth pennies in a couple of months time.
lol
So true. It’s just the 1-2 year overall cost that most look at.

I've seen these go as low as 130k in iconic auctions, i've also been watching the markets very closely as I'm in a 599GTB looking to move into an F12.

AT Price tracker and supercar depreciation channels on YouTube also confirm the same and they track global markets. Sorry we don't see eye to eye but the fact is prices have dropped on F12's
I’ve been tracking since I started this thread. They have dropped, most of the car market has. If I’d bought what I went to look at, I’d be circa 30k +down. I can’t afford that. That’s since I started this thread.

They’re looking like amazing value at what some are selling at. The triple layer red is a lovey colour. When I next change, it’s got to be on the list still.

completely agree, glad someone else has been tracking as close as i have too. I also agree 30k depreciation is pretty steep when you factor in servicing and running costs
it is, that'd be closer to £35k all in. Luckily I decided to 'slum' it in a 650s thats managed to buck the market trend. first time thats ever happened.

when I bought my FF in 2015, the cheapest F12 in Germany was c. 210k from memory (maybe 215k). Now the cheapest F12 is c. 195k - so I'd say they have been pretty stable for the last decade, maybe with slight fluctuations up and down in the meantime. Obviously the mileage of the cheapest one is now quite a bit higher than it was 10 years ago. Incidentally the cheapest Speciale was also c. 215k at the same time and the cheapest one now 340k (again higher mileage and incidentally the same color scheme as the one I looked at at the time - now private sale vs. then from main dealer).
Not in the UK.

This is lovely. Just the black plastic elements that detract.

can you get OEM replica carbon parts?

As said above the F12 was built before Ferrari had worked out how to gouge their buyers by telling them the CF was such a desirable and/or required extra for every unnecessary panel. Very few F12s have any exterior CF at all.
and they are all the better for it imo
It just looks better 'quality' than the plastic trim used.

Anybody who worries about scuttle shake in a topless motor has missed the whole pt of driving a topless motor.
Really, why bother to buy a Ferrari then if it's not be driven enthusiastically, which is when you notice it wobbles like a jelly if topless.

The issue is that many other convertibles don't (Maccas, 911s, even lower cars like BMW Z4), it's just that Ferrari built the same body shell technology for years (458/488/F8).
they all seem to, if you don't really want to compromise on performance, you need a Mclaren.
