Thank you! Flirted with a couple of these on CC now. It will be my first Ferrari, likely used as a part-time daily as I've still got a Taycan on business lease that I think I'll struggle to get out of early.

It may even do the odd trackday if my Lotus decides to be in bits.
My FF replaced a Taycan Cross Turismo - fortunately we'd bought them so getting out was easy at the time as there were still overs on them.

Yep I missed the boat on that, but also because it was a business lease I went full poverty spec on mine. I rang Porsche Hull a few months ago asking what they'd give me for it after already obtaining an early termination fee from lease company and he practically laughed me off the phone and said it's unsellable biglaugh

I do have a triple wide driveway, but having a Taycan, an FF and a Volvo V90 occupying the spots will really be stretching it!

You just need to change your mindset. When the fuel gauge shows half empty just go and fill it to the max with 99 ron.
So effectively reducing a 90 litre tank to a 45 litre one?

The point is the range is pretty poor, I don't want to have to be at the petrol station every 100 miles or arbitrarily filling up.

Perhaps you have a hole in your tank or you’re racing from traffic light to traffic light?

Depending on the journey, I see around 300 miles between fills and that’s filling up with two bars left on the gauge and 60 miles left on the range computer.

I drive mine daily mostly in manual/comfort and generally reach 200/220 miles with two bars left on the gauge.

If I do run say Kent Norfolk and back I'm seeing 300/320 miles on the same amount of fuel. 12mpg daily 18mpg on runs.

That sounds about right to me. I've never broken into the "3"s on max range after a fill-up - 295 is the most I've seen. The gauge is dreadful, one of the worst flaws on the car. Good job everything else is so great.

Love the fact there is no way to get the car to show you MPG!

The range computer is unlikely to show you “3”s after a fill but the paradox is that you’ll see 250, for example, and then after 100 miles on the motorway, it’ll be showing you 205…

Italian IT at its finest.

I don't actually think it goes beyond 295. I think that's the largest number it's able to display.

I guess it doesn't want to give you false hopes!

Hi All, I collected and drove home the latest Collecting Cars FF today.

Put 300 miles on it, really love the powertrain and interior, was fantastic.

In terms of handling the car has some quirks I can't quite put my finger on. The rear feels like it's wandering a bit occasionally and and can be provoked with a bit of power. It sometimes happens when swapping lanes, it will just feel like the rear is following a road camber and makes the car feel a bit detached.

Tyre pressures were initially high (36psi all round) so lowered to 29F and 33R which helped a lot, but still not perfect. It doesn't feel dangerous, but makes me less inclined to even attempt to lean on the chassis yet or even use full throttle with real confidence on a dry road.

Tyres appear to be 2019 vintage P Zero, plenty of tread but some slight perishing marks on the front shoulders.

I'll be distracted for a few weeks with my track car and some other antics but once back, I'm looking forward to making some small improvements to this FF. Paintwork looks like it could benefit massively from some correction and if I can sort this handling foible it will be fantastic.

I'll book it in for a suspension alignment to rule that out, but are there any other failure points worth investigating? I've got 5 mo of Ferrari warranty on it so the sooner I can engage with any issues, the better!

Thank you, I've been poking around tonight and the sidewall/shoulders are starting to perish it seems. Don't need much more motivation than that to swap them.

100% this. Mine was like a different car when I swapped from P-Zeros to PS4S

Another vote for MPS4S.

My car also had P Zero's on when I bought it. Swapped to Michelins and the difference was quite noticeable. I've never experinced such a difference on any car from a tyre change before.

K1 spec are specifically Ferrari versions if you can find them.

Thanks all, that's reassuring.

PS4S seem quite sensibly priced too which is a nice surprise. Tyres on my Taycan are ruinous.

Oh and I'll contribute to the recent discussion... I collected car on 3 bars on the fuel gauge, topped up 10 miles later which put around 60 litres in. I did 286 miles to get home, and brimmed at my local station which put 68litres in. Think I worked that out to be 19mpg?

Expected worse, but I suppose it helps that I was scared to use full throttle for most of it in fear of the car swapping lanes on me!

I also checked the indicated fuel range today. I filled the car. The range eventually topped out at 295. An hour of A roads and some dual carriageway later the range was still around 290.

Congratulations on the FF....health to drive.

I had a similar issue on my DB11...had massive negative camber on the rear from factory which was sorted by Center Gravity.

I just checked; on my trip to Le Mans, mostly 80mph on the French motorways and a bit of tearing around Le Mans town, I drove 310 miles on one tank. Yellow fuel light had come on before I refilled, can't remember if I had the red (last) segment showing or not. Range said I had about 30 miles to go as far as I can remember.

Thank you!

I'm trying to find out something, anything about what alignment options I have on the FF but it seems like everyone just takes them to a main dealer to look at. I'd like to take mine to the specialist who look after my Lotus if possible but I'd like to give them half a chance of knowing what adjustments are available.

I may get a wheel off at the weekend and see what I can figure out. But I have enquired with JCT Ferrari too about doing a geo on it for me.

You should look for an alignment company who uses Hunter Alignment system. Not sure where abouts in the UK you are, but here in Essex, Tyre Smart in Witham are popular and have a good reputation, setting geo in everything from track car, super cars and everyday stuff.

I wouldn't bother with main dealer as it's obviously been there recently and nobody has picked up on the situation at the rear.

I am going to have to sell my FF.
During the week I park on the street in Belgravia. Last night a neighbour’s Bentley was targeted by thieves who used an angle grinder to cut 2 modules out of both sides of the front bumper. My Rosso Maranello FF was parked opposite. The police has said that my car was also a “significant target”.

So, with huge regret, I’m going to give up and revert to my older, less attractive cars. The FF has been the perfect car for me, and I am so sad that it has come to this in Belgravia and Knightsbridge.
