Take a look at Voicey’s website
here
It’s a great primer on how things work with CCMs. You can also take the car to a dealer for them to interrogate the computer but the computer isn’t always accurate as it’s based on an algorithm.
Here’s what mine looked like at c.27k miles.
AFAIK, bluetooth audio was standard on all cars. As was rear cam, I think. It was the front cam which was optional.
There was no power tailgate option on early cars so no biggie if you don’t have it.
Thanks for the info - good to know Aldous has some experience with CCMs as he's highly regarded by Maserati owners and I also have a GT. Does the below video show anything that might be concerning? I know you can't see much and it's a short video of one brake but it should be indicative of overall brake condition.here

I might have missed the reverse camera as I didn't have a need to reverse, but I couldn't see any physical camera at the back.
Bluetooth audio didn't seem to be an option when going through the media option on the infotainment; I only saw HDD, radio, Aux and USB. Maybe my phone needs to be connected before it displays?
It seems to have the sports exhaust - is it purely a cosmetic change? And finally how do you tell if you have the upgraded hi-fi? There was a subwoofer in the boot on the left if that helps.
Mirrors don't seem to be auto fold which is annoying and I couldn't tell whether it had AFS (swivelling headlights). Would be good if I could find the original options specced but there wasn't anything in the documents.

I’m no expert but your video doesn’t look like it shows anything to be concerned about. How many miles on the car?
The reversing camera is hard to spot unless you’re looking for it.
Bluetooth audio won’t show up until you pair the phone.
The sports exhaust is purely cosmetic with the double concentric tips.
Upgrade hifi comes with little JBL logos on the door grilles. But the sub in the boot is also a giveaway so, well spotted.
There is no auto fold on locking. The only fold is manual.
AFS is easy enough to establish by turning the lights on in a dark/gloomy place and moving the steering wheel. It was unusual to spec AFS without lift (it was compulsory with lift for some bizarre reason). So if the car has lift, it will definitely have AFS. But the reverse is not true so it’s possible to find the odd car with AFS but not lift.
I hope that helps.

The car is currently on 48,700 miles with some strong service history so I'm hoping the brakes would have been checked and sorted if needed.I’m no expert but your video doesn’t look like it shows anything to be concerned about. How many miles on the car?

I'm pretty sure there's no reverse camera - I can see what it looks like on cars with it, and the one I'm interested in doesn't have the camera. No biggie, but would have been good.
The rest of the missing stuff is a mild annoyance, but all forgotten when you press the start button!
I've done the man maths, and agreed a deal so hopefully will be the owner of a V12 Ferrari in the next few days. Thanks for your help.

Well done that man! And, you’re welcome. I've done the man maths, and agreed a deal so hopefully will be the owner of a V12 Ferrari in the next few days. Thanks for your help.
Of course, pictures will be mandatory once she is yours.

Right, so I've bought it and that engine is utterly intoxicating.
Engine control system failure message has slightly dampened the mood, but my god it sounds good.
Glad you're enjoying it Engine control system failure message has slightly dampened the mood, but my god it sounds good.
Do the service records show when the battery was last changed?
If it was more than a couple a years ago, it's time to install a new battery. Something like a Varta silver AGM should keep the electrical gremlin messages away.

That car has a bit of history on here so would be interesting to get an update.
i recall this car being for sale for what seemed like a year - i noticed it got reduced a few weeks ago by circa £5k. Couldnt really understand why it hadnt budged - this wasnt the car that Jayemm did a video on though was it? the whole BCA fiasco? a lot of the car for the money, congrats to the new owner.

(somewhat redacted by PH mods, but much of the car detail is still present).

It wasn't the car that JayEmm did a video on.That was one of the original press cars (F4 FNE), mine was sold by Praters as someone mentioned. It was a bit of a risk, but you're only young once!
Still getting used to some of the quirks and negative attention, but overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

Congrats on your purchase. I'm guessing you purchased the red FF from Prators?
When I was looking for an FF over 18 months ago I was tempted to buy that car from the private seller who had it advertised on Autotrader. Prators beat me to it and it's been up for sale with them for around a year.
It does look a lot of car for the money. Keep us updated with your ownership experience.
Yep, it had been up for sale for just over a year (never a good sign!), but I bit the bullet and collected it on a sunny Friday last week. When I was looking for an FF over 18 months ago I was tempted to buy that car from the private seller who had it advertised on Autotrader. It's missing one or two features which really ought to be standard like a reverse cam, but as far as I can tell it has the following options:
- Rosso Maranello triple layer paint
- Upgraded hi-fi (utter ste sound quality)
- Heated/ventilated seats
- Carbon/LED steering wheel
- Diamond cut alloys (not sure if I prefer the regular alloys tbh)
- Sports exhaust tips (utterly pointless)
- White tachometer (think I prefer the standard yellow)
- AFS adaptive headlights
- Ferrari shields (couldn't believe this was an option)
- Rosso Corsa brake calipers
- Auto dimming mirrors all round
- TV tuner
- Rear seat entertainment
- Smokers kit (£360 for some crappy ashtray and cigarette lighter!)
- Handy fire extinguisher
Next one up in CC. https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2013-ferrari-f...
40K miles should be interesting.

Is the negative attention still a thing? Such a shame.
Beautiful car by the way. Triple layer paint is wonderful.
I wanted a more sedate colour, but have to say Rosso Maranello is a magnificent shade in the sun.Beautiful car by the way. Triple layer paint is wonderful.
A red Ferrari is of course going to attract attention, but I'm surprised at the number of scowls and dirty looks I've been getting. Even had a couple of comments from strangers at a petrol station - one said it was "totally unnecessary"!
My Maserati GTS is far more positively received, but that won't stop me from enjoying the FF.
Cold starts are a bit obnoxious though I must admit; not sure why anyone would want a Novitec or Capristo system on theirs as that just seems a bit antisocial to me!
