Hi all, first post here but lurking for years!

Looking to purchase my first Ferrari and my first ‘super car’.

I’m looking for a 458, I had actually arranged to view one next weekend at Kent specialist cars but someone jumped in and put a deposit on which is a shame so I’m back on the hunt - though they seem a little thin on the ground in my budget.

I’ve been looking for a while, I’m lower end of the market and I don’t want to finance ideally so max is 130k. Seem to have missed on a few I liked so my search is slowing up somewhat ideally I’d like to have one to enjoy at least some of the summer.

I have seen one for sale for a while with BAM specialist cars in chesterfield (I cannot link as I haven’t had my account for 14 days - it’s on PH) - I’m from Norfolk so I’m also limited to cars with lift as I worry I’ll need it on our roads here!

It seems to fit the bill mostly probably not my ideal spec but interested in people’s thoughts why it hasn’t sold? I did notice a gap in the MOT so I’d assume that’s the problem - reg FJ11EOH

Cheers all

DMB have a nice one. If you can stretch your budget you could get one from the Ferrari network. Give it a go….
I had seen this, it’s certainly nice - I’ve been dismissing due to lack of lift… plus I’d like yellow brakes but guess that’s minor to change?

A 458 is actually quite high, are you sure you need lift? I never found that I even got remotely close to catching mine anywhere!
I mean I just assumed I’d need it? Not that I’d do it all the time but occasionally I’d be on a single track road with grass in the middle… I had an R35 GTR couple years back and that was fine in such scenarios I just assumed the clearance would be small?

Thanks for the replies guys, I’ll perhaps open the search for one without lift… still doesn’t currently leave me with a huge amount of cars (the DMB one has sold) and those that are for sale have been clearly for some time - is that an issue?

Glad it seems like it’ll cope without lift. Other things are probably the age old questions of mileage to buy on (I was aiming 20-35k) and whether number of owners really makes a difference?

Seriously, people.

The youngest of these cars are getting on for a decade old. The oldest are 15 years old. To hell with number of owners and mileage. Buy on condition and drive the damn things. You’re a long time dead.

We are now three generations on from the 458. Buy what you like and drive it like you stole it.
Yeah I agree entirely but wouldn’t make sense for me to buy a low mileage one at a premium if I intend to drive I guess - getting the balance right imo

Evening all, I’ve missed the thread for a while (seemed to die off and haven’t checked it). Actually put a deposit on a car today after viewing - 30k miles, rosso corsa nero roof, buckets, lift, nav, JBL’s etc. full dealer service history. Couple of small things dealer is sorting then delivery!!
