First time I've used a Ctek charger. Can you leave them charging your car indefinitely? Do they harm the battery at all?
Thanks

In theory you can, as it goes into "maintainence" mode. However with any of these 'smart' chargers there is the odd tale of them getting stuck and boiling or letting a battery go flat.

Personally I cycle mine between several vehicles, hopefully remembering to change the setting to suit tha battery being connected, but I know some people use a timer plug to switch them off and on every week or so.

do you actually mean charger
or, more likely, one of their battery conditioners ?

Leave mine on all the time when not using the car, Maserati Spyder.
Technopart battery came with the car in 2018 still going strong

I have 3 of them on separate vehicles and they are left on all the time when the cars are not in use.

Assuming it's a battery charger like the CTek MXS-5, then yes. I have cars on them for 6 months or so, 24/7 without issue.

Thanks for all your comments - and yes, they are battery conditioners rather than chargers. Will now leave mine plugged in whilst we're on holiday.
