458 Speciale (Exhaust Controller)

Hi,

I have just received a Forza Exhaust Controller, and I hope to fit it over the coming days… however I am struggling to find a mechanic (in Dubai) that I am comfortable giving the car too.

I have contacted 2 reputable performance centres here, but to my surprise they said it is not a service they can provide, so this makes me even more nervous in terms of giving it to a ‘non specialist’ who will start pulling panels apart, etc.

I have searched and read many posts on the forum and also watched many Youtube videos. A lot of the videos just show the pre and post difference, and they don’t go into too much detail on the actual installation.

I’ve also noticed that some approached the ‘project’ by removing the top engine covers and many other top parts… whereas others went under the car and removed the rear diffuser. To add further confusion for me, who is not mechanically gifted, like many of you on here, I’m wondering is there any difference to installing it on a 458 Italia VS 458 Speciale… given the exhaust setup is slightly different.

Does anyone have a detailed guide on how to install one, as I want to ensure that the person I get to do it, can follow those steps, instead of them trying to figure it out themselves.

Yes, bought the car and in the process of waiting for Ferrari to service it… while also trying to unlock the real sound from the car with the exhaust controller :-)

On the Italia Its easy to do, you can do it all from the top and only need to remove the side engine panels and the airbox.

ignore the part about taking the diffuser off, with the airbox removed and small hands it can be all done from the top. I suspect you can do the same with the Specialie
