New to me F430
Discussion
Hi all,
My new to me F430. Random purchase, just happened to stumble upon a great coupe from Germany that had 19k miles, 2010 registered (late 2008 build). Some nice options, ccb, carbon rear, carbon interior, full extended black leather with red piping, scud rollcage-leather covered, original paint, full ferrari service history. CCB was at 91% and clutch at 90%.
The left bank mani sensor was showing overheating, so we figured it's suffering from the usual cats issues and decided right away to fabricate the entire exhaust from scratch to avoid any engine grenading experiences. Includes full valved setup, with phone app control+key fob. HJS 100 cell cats remained. All done in-house by my friend. Cleaned the TBs and replaced the oil. Replaced engine mounts. No engine oil leaks, all very clean. Cleanest coupe we've ever seen. Needless to say with the x-pipe and new exhaust, it sounds and goes like it should now. Feels best part of 500hp with the free flowing exhaust, and shifts better.
Have driven it 4500km already (2700 miles), no issues so far. Enjoying the Croatian coast this summer.
With my 911
With my regal in the background
Good clean before heading to the coast
This is the system my friend invented to allow the exhaust to move, as the oem one cracks in multiple places. Ferrari put a 3mm steel plate here, not good. Much less engine vibrations coming through the cabin now.
WIP - everything has been sandblasted since this was done
Manis wrapped and ready to go on, cats go after these
Cool photo
May do a few more mods in future, lower a little, possibly scud front bumper, and if I can get hold of them, carbon seats. Audio is the next priority.
Thanks all

looks fantastic, these have aged so well
I agree, I also like the 599 more and more. That might join the fleet next year. They're easy to maintain and pretty simple compared to the modern cars. Makes it more attractive to me as a toy and I'm not so precious about the miles. I'm not really interested in having 300k+ locked up in one toy car so for me it's the only option.Boleros said:
?estitam! Cracking car, don’t care what anyone says. I keep meaning to take mine to Croatia (wife is from Ogulin) but haven’t quite managed it yet but maybe one day. Hope your A/C is staying ahead of the Croatian summer!
Hvala! You should, and come and stop by for a new exhaust and a tune up
I've driven the UK Croatia route many times. Excellent every time. I've done the long route via Switzerland, but that's quite a job as it's 12 hours per day.
Now I prefer the trip via Germany as I tend to stay somewhere 8 hours in and make a day of it, perhaps visiting a museum or some car manufacturers HQ.
I'll be going to the F1 in Monza this year, where you get Ferrari only priority parking which is good fun plenty of trips for you to go on with the Ferrari. All worthwhile!

I've done the run a few times but not in the F430, I've got as far as Lake Garda (after Switzerland of course) but not Croatia. I also did 12 hours straight in the F430 back to the UK, doable but not recommended!
I'm guessing you live in Croatia, are you a Brit or Hrvatski?
Both, I got my citizenship 3 years ago.I'm guessing you live in Croatia, are you a Brit or Hrvatski?
If you come for 2 or 3 weeks then it's worth the drive. I agree it's more difficult to drive long distance but the experience and memories are worth it.

My wife did the reverse, came here now has Brit/HRV citizenship. Next time I'm in Zagreb I'll drop you a line! Until then, enjoy the car!If you come for 2 or 3 weeks then it's worth the drive. I agree it's more difficult to drive long distance but the experience and memories are worth it.

I took my 458 to Monza last year - didn’t know about this parking. Can you tell ,e more ?
I was in the Gold parking last year, you? At the front are only areas for the Ferraris. Did you notice in your carpark? Ferrari's from all countries just allowed there. You can call the organisers and ask but I think it's fairly informal. But I'll check online to book parking soon and let you know, but I don't think it's advertised, might be wrong.
