Hello all,

I have a 2017 488 GTB - I’ve had it almost 3 years now, and had a recent issue with an oil leak. Engine out job unfortunately to repair the leak. It had always run between 80-85 degrees.

I got the car back this week and haven’t really had time to drive it. I took it out today (oil leak still seems to be there unfortunately) but the car ran perfectly and then the temps rose to 95 degrees, both oil and water - is this normal?

Thanks,

That does seem slightly strange as long as the temps are like for like. As in I'm assuming driving along no fans kicked in etc...
My main worry would be the oil leak and the fact it's still there!!!
Warranty?? Or are you been billed??

Something changed. Perhaps an air lock in the cooling system. Take it back to the dealer - at least then there's record of your concern.

The oil temperature should be a little higher than the water temperature because there’s a heat exchanger for the water to cool the oil. 90C is the normal temperature for the water. Hope you get your oil leak sorted!
