Hi all,
Pista incoming with 2000-ish miles on Cup 2s. They'll be three years old or so, I assume they'll be fine but it's my SOP to throw some new tires on the car whenever I pick something new up.
I have a couple of options available to me, with a couple of different use cases.
For regular use in the UK I was going to swap the car out to a set of PS4S - they're available in the right size in N0 (Porsche) spec. Alternatively, they're available in K1 (Ferrari) spec with a slightly different fitment on the rears.
Pista spec rears are 305/30 - the rears on the K1s are 305/35. I guess it's not quite so different, but I was wondering if anyone had any input on one vs. the other? Wouldn't assume a slightly different sidewall aspect ratio would cause much trouble, but wanted to be sure.
I will also buy a new set of Cup 2s for use in Spain, doing about 5000mi up there this year between different driving trips. So I will put those on the car when time to head up and wear them out.

Was given a quite interesting demonstration, albeit regarding Pirelli tyres not Michelin regarding the differences between manufacturer specific tyres.
He had a cut away cross section of a Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari, and 'standard' tyre, all the same size, but in reality all visually different in size.
I've always thought manufacture spec tyres are a bit of con but certainly with regard to Pirelli they are significantly different to each other and the 'stock' non branded tyre of the same model.
