California T - strange interior things?

Was looking at California T’s when I stumbled across this one. Couple of questions purely out of interest …

1) What has happened to the door card at the bottom? I assume this isn’t normal or is this like the shrinking leather around the binnicle issue ?

2) Also is it me (perspective of photo could be playing tricks) or does the central pattern on the seat not line up from top to bottom?

All this on a 2016 car…

the leather on the door card doesnt look quite right - perhaps shows up as its so light. although on mine the pocket area is a reasonably loose shape, to allow things in/out - it does not have those ripples.

re the seat - looks out - but imagine its just the photo angle... would be strange not to meet...
