I love my Ferrari, but...
Discussion
Had my Roma for a year and a half now and love it, however there are small things that annoy me (like with anything). Thought I'd start a thread where people can contribute with the little annoyances of living with a Ferrari.
To get the ball rolling then:
I love my Ferrari, but the sun visor is really annoying where it basically has only 3 positions where it will stay in place: closed, halfway open and fully open.
What annoys you about your Ferrari?

The fact the ignition has to be on to open the frunk or the filler cap
The fact that the oil foams a bit making taking the oil level tricky
The fact that I can’t hear the sound as it goes past (because I am driving)
The fact that someone used double sided tape to stick the sun visor up and the adhesive is a bugger to get off the suede

In ten years of ownership these are the only things that irk me..........slightly !
1 - No form of guttering of any description means a waterfall filling the cabin if I open the window when it's raining while the car is stationary or at low speeds.
2 - Manual should be the default setting, not auto !
3 - How difficult was it to make a clock that keeps time ?
4 - For an Italian car the hooter is, er, pathetic.

Sorry? I can't quite hear you
Ha !! Ha !! , Always looked at it as a bonus especially when my wife came with me ( now ex Wife), just said yes dear hopefully at the right intervals
Use the down changes as a volume control and with straight through pipes and the air box replaced with Pipercraft sponge air filters on the Webers
she didn't stand a chance
1) Having to turn the engine off when I want to give my order at Mcdonald's Drive-thru :-(
2) Not having a cupholder to put your strawberry milkshake in whilst you navigate the twisty drive-thru road with no power steering.
3) Speed humps at Mcdonalds - see point (2).
4) People taking your picture whilst you're just trying to eat your breakfast roll with ketchup and a load of ketchup has just gone down your nice clean white T-shirt.
All this talk of food is making me hungry! LOL

If sunvisors are the biggest worry in a modern Ferrari that's nothing...
In my time I've managed to break down and get stranded in a 355, 360 and 550.
Couldn't even get a Testarossa started.
I've managed to limp to a garage in a 348 and 308.
Hairy mechanical moments were part and parcel of Ferrari ownership in the old days.
The sheer wonder and satisfaction at completing a big journey trouble free was like a great life achievement.
When you're driving in heavy rain on a European motorway and water is pouring into the gap between the window and A-pillar you don't pay too much attention to sunvisors.

I love my Ferrari, but the range on the key remote is pitiful. I have to be standing within arms reach of the door to lock or unlock the thing. Plus the aforementioned requirement to insert the key in the ignition to open the front boot.
Hold the key pressed against the side of your head and it extends the range...Don't laugh til you've tried it!

There sounds like there could be some good stories to accompany this. What we’re the causes of breakdown of these three.
355 clutch360 gearshift cables
550 overheated
Many many more stories...just remembered breaking down outside a Police Station in West London in my black 355. Literally every copper that walked past for two hours suggested I get a panda car to their great amusement. Then the AA tow truck arrived but the car was too low to go on...that was a long day

My 2 year old Alfa is pretty well built. My 22 year old Ferrari is pretty well built.
In neither case is build quality an annoyance
Most cars are better now than when they were fairly new due to upgraded parts such as Hill Engineering bits and far more knowledge which allows preventative maintenance. Build quality improved noticeably from the 360 onwards In neither case is build quality an annoyance

On the flip side still nothing really comes close in terms of feeling and enjoyment.
