360 to 430. Worth it?

I currently have a 360 Modena with the F1 gearbox using the CS tcu map. It’s great to drive, the CS map has improved it a lot and I have ensured the mechanicals are sorted. The seats show a few signs of wear and there are some stone chips as the car has done 45k miles.
I have the opportunity to purchase a low mileage f430 in decent condition, but will have to find £30k
I am interested to hear from people who have owned both as to whether it’s worth moving to the f430. Obviously there is risk in that I won’t know the new car well, whereas AV have been all over mine and I have done the jobs they recommended.

Got let down on a vety high spec 360 manual and after that every other 360 i looked at seemed very plain Jane so dug a little deeper and I have the opportunity to purchase a low mileage f430 in decent condition, but will have to find £30k

bought a very low mileage high spec F430, like the 360 it was in Nero Daytona as i didn't want red.
A manual 430 whould have been another £30K/£40K which could have bought another decent car and not having a paddle shift
before thought i'd give it a go, best decision i made , the 430 makes the 360 look dated especially the interior and dashboard layout
even though 15 years olds still looks up-to-date and having the manettino setting is a must along with the starter button on the steering wheel
is a nice novelty making starting it a occasion,just little things like that makes it feel special along with those Enzo rear lights .
Only thing the 360 has over the 430 is that it sounds more exciting ,kind of a Italian wail that the 430 lacks.
A full de-cat ,headers and a stage 3 Capristo can sort that out but all three is not a cheap process .

Start button doesn’t bother me, I have one on my Alfa. Tbh the Alfa has more theatre on start up than either Ferrari and it’s just a 2l turbo saloon.
Mannetino is desirable. I’m not sold on the looks of the rear of the f430 but I’m not totally sold on the front of the 360. Agree the 360 engine is special.

I also sounds much much nicer, even my Scuderia sounds crap compared to a 360 imo.
Personally would not do it and rather improve the 360 to "make it mine "[maybe better dampers to make it even more go-kart like, some nice bucket seats, maybe freer flowing and lighter exhaust setup etc].
I also see it is a benefit that it has less power, makes driving on country roads more fun. I definitely had more fun in my 355 than the Scuderia on the road (track obviously a different kettle of fish)

I would love a scud, sadly other cash requirements rule one out for now, plus if I had £200k a 488 or maybe an F8 beckons I also sounds much much nicer, even my Scuderia sounds crap compared to a 360 imo.

+1 on this. I always thought my 360 had pretty much the perfect amount of power - it was quick enough to be fun, but not so quick that you'd look down at the speedo and suddenly realise you were in instant ban territory.When I had mine, I obviously considered 430s but just couldn't see the value in the price difference. They just didn't seem different enough for the cost (although the steering wheels are nice).
If you're happy with the 360, I think I'd keep it.

Currently have a 360 Spider (manual), 430 Spider (manual) and a 430 Scud (Coupe) - had a 360CS (years ago when young and stupid) - for me the std 430 is the best all-rounder. It's just a more rounded, capable car that's fun to drive slowly as well as relatively quickly. mine has been for sale since last August and I don't think the dealer has had a single bid - so prices might come down again [this is Germany though, not UK]. I actually have not heard from the dealer in ages ... maybe need to check my car is still there ...I originally went looking for a manual 360 and ended up with an F1 430 which I love and was very happy with.

I deliberately went for one with more miles on so that I could use it without worrying about it, and have done 10K in three years. I am sure they benefit from being used and not just sat there.

I had a 360 Modena and then an F430 Spider. I loved them both, and preferred the looks of the 360 and, with its decatted Tubi, the sound, but in my opinion the F430 was a better, more able, really noticeably faster and more fun car. I never regretted it once. That isn't to say that there is anything bad about the 360, or that you should not prefer it. It goes without saying but get a decent drive in, as much as you can, before making the plunge.
I've heard the F430 is the better car, but for engine sound and looks I prefer the 360.
Design is subjective, but I can't get past the fussy tale lights and strange front splitter on the F430. They look good in black though.

The 360/430 debate on their looks have been widely discussed on here a few times now, it's all down to personal preference
at the end of the day, must admit the Enzo lights do it for me ,probably because it's the earest i will get to one.
Overall the interior in my opinion is so much more up to date ,the steering wheel , dash layout ,seats ect the gear change 's
still not perfect are also smoother and less jerky ,as for the mannetino and the starter button it's the sort of thing you don't miss
until you have had one,a bit like air conditioning and power steering,try going back to not having them.

Time to flip things on their head.
Has anyone gone from a 458 to a 430 or even 360 ?
I've always kind of fancied a 360 manual, but the staggering performance of the 458 won me over, but I am now in a position where I also own a 600 LT which of course has the 458 bettered in performance stakes and as such have pondered potentially selling my 458 and buying a really good condition 360 manual (mileage not a concern) or even maybe a 430 F1/Manual.
Wondered if anyone has made such a move or has a 360, 430 and 458 in their collection and can compare?
I kind of like the idea of high mileage manual 360, I assume they are pretty reliable cars with just usual issues, suspension refresh with Hill Engineering parts, potential new clutch/flywheel, any other issues to look out for like corrosion, engine issues etc?
Now I know a 360 is a much slower car but is it fun and can it be hustled and handles great is suspension and alignment is well setup or is the F430 just vastly superior?

Although that is mostly true - and overall, my 360 was reliable - it did snap the cam variator. I then discovered it was a "known" issue, even though I'd never heard of it before. Ferrari had a recall back in the day - and fitted modified part - which mine had, and which clearly didn't fix the problem.I don't think it's exactly common but it's certainly not a unique failure. I was fairly lucky I guess - pistons were OK - but new valves, top end rebuild etc cost me £6-7k at an Indy (4 years ago)
