that thread was 2 prime ministers and 1 catastrophic mini-budget ago so might not be too valid W4NTED https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
fwiw I think most cars, LE or not, will experience some downturn over the next year or 2, long term view really would be a guess right now?

If anything from what I have seen prices have increased since that thread bagan. My brother picked up a Pista for £255k via a private sale 12 months ago but similar specs are now £340k trade. fwiw I think most cars, LE or not, will experience some downturn over the next year or 2, long term view really would be a guess right now?

I don’t think a forum chat can bring the market down buddy. Yes times are tough, finance is getting expensive but cars are selling. Winter as always will slow things down further but I expect things to bounce back as usual from March onwards.
There will certainly be a downward trend in the next year but as always the market will bounce back IMHO as people spending £250k + on a car are usually the ones making more money in a recession!

I think on the other side of this recession (2025) they'll be around £250k-260k. You're already seeing cars at £310-ish, it wouldn't surprise me if some have changed hands for £300k-ish.
Imo some point next year you'll see them listed @ £290k, trading for £280k.
I know it's not a Ferrari special, but it doesn't help that the 296 GTB/GTS is doing very, very well in reviews. Some reviews are comparing the two and putting the 296 marginally ahead in fun factor. My F dealer has said the same, sales manager believes the 296 is a better driving car than the Pista (no st, he's gotta shift units, but there's a Pista right there he could sell me for the same money, I guess..), and Ferrari chat mostly feels the same. None of these are worth much as points of information, but when you put it all together it does paint a picture of which way the wind is blowing.
I am biased, having ordered a 296 GTS. But I look forward to Pistas dropping into the 270k range. I will probably buy one at that figure until my GTS arrives.

pista is a bit meh imo in terms of long term values considering the f8 etc exists
Totally agree…. no way is a Pista worth £100k more than an F8. The F8 is also a considerably rarer car in the UK (how many left indicates a lot more of Pista around) so not like you can play the ‘limited edition’ car either. I’d still rather have a Pista over an F8 but just because it sounds and looks a little better imo but wouldn’t pay a premium.Getting off topic but I think the only thing supporting these cars is the huge increases in price of their replacements. The example being a 296 GTS at a mid-high spec pushing £330-350k. New Ferrari are becoming increasingly eye watering expensive.
