What are the real life reviews like on the Roma? Anyone cross shopped one with a Bentley Continental GT post 2018?

Would a 9 year old fit in the back, or a child seat for a toddler? Not looked in person yet as I'm only mulling one over. They seem to be about £180k now so getting towards a realistic price vs £200+

I have the same query! I didn't think much of the Roma in pictures but saw a graphite grey one in the flesh and it looked great!

I saw one in person, but haven't been inside one. The rear looked reasonably snug to me. Depending how big your 9-year old is, would a Lusso at a similar price not be a better option?

Not as pretty and we already have a number of bigger cars... would be driven more by my wife

Only had one on loan for a few days, but zero chance of fitting anybody of any age in the back unless the front passenger seat pulled way forward. Looks pretty much the same as a California to me…I.e. More of a storage area for bags, etc then people. As mentioned, FF/GTC4 in a different league as a 4 seater. Roma was the most disappointing Ferrari I’ve ever driven with the maddening switchgear and droning engine. Couldn’t wait to hand it back in and get my car back…….

Fair enough
I think a Maserati GranSport has a little more space in the back - but obviously rather old and a very different price bracket

Drove one last week as I'm thinking of changing my DB11 for one.

It's a very nice car to look at and drives very well. The downside for me, other than it being a £100K upgrade, is that there's just too much tech. The car feels too clever for its own good and there were issues with the steering wheel touch buttons not working and other warning signs popping up related to electrics. The reviews I saw warned about this and I can't help but think it would be a better car if it was a bit more analogue.

The rear seats really aren't usable.

Have owned one for a year now and love it!

I've driven conti GTs in the past but don't really consider them comparable, I'll likely switch to a Bentley when I'm older (currently mid 40s) and comfort is more important than fun.

Pros:

Everydayish usable.
Decent boot.
Absolutely ridiculous power (to me, appreciate a lot out there with more but 620 is more than enough for public roads).
Engine sounds wonderful, full throttle high rev upshifts are a joy.
Handles brilliantly (granted, not as well as a rear-mid engine at 10/10ths but tbh I'm never going to be at 10/10ths in this car on public roads).
Ignore infotainment concerns, not as bad as early reviews suggest as software has been upgraded since then. Other issues are solvable via settings for timeouts of touch sensitive controls on steering wheel etc. I would prefer more buttons/switches but space is at a premium.
(subjective) best looking Ferrari for me in decades.
An event every time you start/drive it.
Lots of positivity from other road users, was mildly worried about negativity but only 1 negative experience in a year, countless positive ones.
Surround view is a must have if you plan to use any multi-storey car parks but with surround view, although it's a wide car it's relatively easy to get in/out of parking garages.
No problems with speed bumps.

Cons:

Backseats a joke, I'm 6'3 and have the front seat pushed all the way back. There is literally ZERO space.
Even if you're short and don't have the front seat pushed all the way back, the rear backrest is almost vertical, it's not going to be comfortable for anyone for anything more than a few minute ride down to the shops.
Had some early issues with oil pressure warning light flashing on occasionally before immediately going off again. Others have also reported this. In all instances I've heard of (including mine) an oil/filter service under warranty resolved.
Battery has died once despite it being left on the trickle charger.
Easy to get carried away with options if buying new.
I mean, you can use it in the rain with wet mode but be bloody careful going uphill with the accelerator!

Happy to chat further here or in private if you'd rather DM if you have any specific questions.

Worth noting that you can no longer order a new one. Spoke to the dealer today and Ferrari has closed the order book. So used values are likely to be pretty solid.

The lines going to be used to build the Roma convertible….. had an email from my dealer 4 weeks saying additional slots released for coupe for Q1 build 24 so you might still be able to spec a new one?
