Morning guys, just got my Roma back after its first service. Slightly puzzled by what it appears the main dealer has chosen to do. Looks like all they've done is a vehicle inspection and pollen filters, everything else has the "no" box checked including:

Engine oil and filter
Air filter cartridges
Brake pads
Brake discs
Brake system fluid
Belts
Gearbox oil
Spark plugs

Seems a bit odd to me, surely at least oil/filters should be changed annually, potentially alongside spark plugs? 4115 miles on the clock. Is this normal for Ferrari's before I call them up?

Can you have a look at the oil to see if it is clean or not - if it is freash oil it shoild be obvious. Similarly can you see the filter to see if it dirty or not?

It could simply be someone ticking the wrong boxes, I would hope those things would be changed at an annual serice.

Of course it could be some penny pinching manufacturer providing all inclusive service packages and then doing everything on mileage, but Ferrari wouldn't do that, erm, would they?

Err yes - the algorithm tells the dealer what to do and it seems to be oil change every second year unless significant mileage - plenty of similar surprise on Fchat

And spark plugs are normally every 8 years. That's the case on my 458

Before my Portofino went for its first service I asked the dealer whether it included oil change. Was advised that it wasn’t necessary but I asked for it to be done and paid for it as it obviously wasn’t included in the free servicing agreement. Whether this was a waste of money who knows.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Seems not a concern then, oil looks fine but I'd hope they'd do it before it looks not ok and not convinced it'll still be in good shape in another year, I'll keep an eye on it.

@Fiammetta, no charge, new Ferrari's come with 7 years free servicing.
