Happy Sunday all

I’m on the verge of purchasing my first Ferrari. A 488 GTB

I have seen this car and I am very close to putting pen to paper. What’s everyone’s thoughts on the spec and what should I be looking out for?

It’s a 2019 car with 3500k

Have to admit, seeing the posts about mileage blocking is a concern ??

Finished in Ferrari Historical Colour Grigio Scuro with Nero Interior, 20” Matt Black Forged Rims, Yellow Brake Callipers, Carbon Fibre: Front Spoiler – Side Air Splitter – Rear Air Ducts – Fog Lamp – Exterior Sill Kick, Scuderia Ferrari Shields, Suspension Lifter, AFS System, Internal/External Electrochromic Mirrors, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, Parking Camera, High Emotion Low Emission, Sport Exhaust Pipes, Coloured Special Stitching – Giallo, Goldrake Racing Seats, Racing Seat Lifter, Horse Stitched on Headrest, Coloured Mats with Logo, Upper Part in Alcantara, Alcantara Seats Inner Trim, Premium Hifi System, Apple Carplay, Yellow Rev Counter, Carbon Fibre Racing Package, Functional Equipment.

Thanks for any advice offered ??

It will be a lot easier for people to give you advice if you link to the advert, or at least give us a clue as to the model idea

Whoops, sorry

It’s a 488 GTB and it’s not advertised as I saw it before it before it was listed for sale smile

Have it inspected by a specialist. With just 3500 miles it should be as new in every respect.

Does it have satnav? It may be possible to look at the journey history and do some maths.

It’s easily verified by plugging the car in at a main dealer who can check mileage in each gear and via other checks. Make this a condition of sale? How many owners? Genuinely, many owners just don’t put the mileage on the cars. Some will likely shortly come along with the classic line that “nearly all Ferrari are clocked” but not the case from my experience; at least with the latest cars anyway. I guess, the other option if first Ferrari is to buy from approved dealer for additional peace of mind? Good look with your purchase and post some pics when you buy it.

I joined the Ferrari club back in October, also with a 488 GTB, although a red one. It's just amazing. You won't be disappointed!
If you like it and it looks clean and undamaged, just go for it.

(Seems like a good spec you have there, too)

I thought most Ferrari owners had mistresses, so it’s likely he cleared the satnav history, to hide his infidelity over any mileage abnormalities 🙈

Good point. I have a Ferrari, where do I look for a mistress?

Your profile does not allow emails to be sent to you.
I have a database on 488 options. Happy to advise on the spec.

3500k?!?! 3,500,000 miles is on the high side for a 2019 488 so I'd say unlikely it has been clocked.

More seriously 3500 miles in 3 years, when for a large part of those three years it was illegal to actually go anywhere other than home or work, isn't suspiciously low. Mileage is just a number anyway, get it inspected and buy on condition.

Even as I main dealer Ferrari approved, do you recommend and independent inspection?

Didn't see that it was a main dealer car. I can only speak for myself, but a 2019 car from a main dealer I don't think I'd feel the need for an inspection.
