I’m finding my F8 better to drive than my 488 which has now gone to a new home but it is quiet, too quiet. I’m not interested in a fire breathing monster but I would certainly like to improve it. Novitec do a replacement silencer with remote valves which deletes the GPFs, around £9k fitted. Any experience here?

Although mainly US based I would try get some views from the guys on FChat. They often post back to back sound clips.

I know what you mean the F8 is way too quiet and the novitec unleashes the sound you can tell is there from stock but muffled by the GPFs.
Isn't that system going to void the warranty though

would have thought you loose your MOT and therefore your insurance in the UK [assuming you are in the UK]. As Novitec is a German company, I'd be surprised if they sell this as a TÜV compliant upgrade for the European market as I thought deleting the GPF is a no go.

Yes, I think that’s the problem. You don’t want to lose the GPFs if it’s going to make life difficult down the road and you certainly don’t want to put your warranty at risk. Plus, you have to tell your insurers of the modifications and I do not know what the implication of that is. It’s a pity Ferrari don’t do some sort of sports exhaust. I think I’ll pass.

Went to the German webpage earlier and they don’t say anything about legality (not sure I looked at the correct exhaust - said something about Inconel and gold leaf and there were 2 versions). Pretty sure in the past they had a sentence along the lines of only for export, check if road legal in your jurisdiction in the German description for some of the exhaust products (but that’s no longer there or it was a different manufacturer that had it - could have been capristo). Sorry can’t be of help as a result
