Engine out job on a Cali T
Discussion
Looking for some experiences of engine out jobs done at either main dealers or specialists please.
How long (hrs) would you expect it take to remove the engine from a Cali T? I assume that’s the tricky part (versus putting it back) as there will be unknowns.
What might cause it to take multiple extra hours over a ‘standard’ amount of time?
I saw the video on Harry’s Garage of the Countach engine coming out and thought that looked difficult but no more than half a day?? Appreciate that’s a totally different car and an edited video but would appreciate being educated on why it might take a day, two days, or more to remove an engine. Assumptions being the car has not had an accident, huge miles or particularly old.

Have a 488, had to have the engine out for a reason. Franchise dealership quoted 23 hours, they had all the equipment and it was easy for them, if I had to do it, how in heavens name I would do it would be beyond me.
23 hours at a Franchise dealership rate, you can calculate your own total costs, remember sundries

Just curious; was it 23 hours for the full repair job including refit, or was it 23 hours just to drop out the engine?23 hours at a Franchise dealership rate, you can calculate your own total costs, remember sundries
