Hi all,
Is this anyone’s old steed ? (There is just one 458 gialo for sale)
It seems to have done the rounds between a few dealers a bit too quickly and also been the subject of a dream car lottery.
Looks like an amazing specced car but something seems out of place.

Cheers.

All I can say is that it has been up for sale a long time and has been through multiple traders. It is clearly a very difficult car to sell, which unless you are going to keep it forever, will become your problem one day…

I agree totally, just hoping the community knows any background info on the car.
Similar spec cars are usually gone in 3 weeks.

30k miles ? I thought the ad read 17k.
Or at least under 20k
Unless you know more and not saying
smile
It’s the gialo Italia with the carbon side skirts.

It might help if you put a link to the ad. The only yellow 458 currently listed on Pistonheads that I can see is a Giallo Modena 458 Spider with 30k miles.

Edit: I've worked out that you're referring to the one at Westside Cars (who?) that is listed on Autotrader but not here.

Its not the crime that alarms me.. it the brightness of the people executing it that scares me.
Hence my questions such a distinct 140k Ferrari at an unknown dealer, someone needs to spill the beans !!

I don't know why it hasn't sold but it has certainly been around a few dealers.

I have:
Sep-Oct 2014 for sale at Graypaul Birmingham, 8k miles, asking £159,850 then £155,000
Sep-Oct 2016 for sale at Graypaul Birmingham, 10k miles, asking £163,000
Sep 2017-May 2018 for sale at VVS, 14k miles, asking £164,990 then £157,490 then £152,990
May 2019-May 2020 for sale at VVS, 16k miles, asking £144,990 then £137,990 then £134,990
Aug 2020 for sale at Redline, 17k miles, asking £124,950 **
Nov-Dec 2020 for sale at Cars of Somerset, 18k miles, asking £119,950
Aug 2021-Jan 2022 for sale at Clinkard Cars, 19k miles, asking £129,995 **
Jan 2022- for sale at Westside Cars, 19k miles, asking £129,999

Note that it has had 7 owners and I believe all the above sold the car except the two marked with ** (and the last one, obviously).

Strange. Andrew's post has disappeared. Note that the people concerned in the link (which makes interesting reading) are not, as Andrew says and as far as I know, in any way linked to the car on Autotrader.

Thanks a lot for the sales history data. It looks like it is typical Ferrari ownership regarding previous owners.
It’s been Shafted.. sorry shifted every 18 months on average.

Those carbon side sills are hideous.
Who in their right mind would design them that way and who would then spec them.
That alone would put me off the car.
Seats also look well worn.
Not a car that would appeal to me but each to their own and it is at the entry level price wise.
Maybe the carbon sills could at least be colour coded

Agreed the carbon sills are hideous if I was the seller I’d be getting them painted same colour as the car.
