What radio for the 360 Modena
Discussion
Hi Juber
One option is to plug something like this into the back of the existing stereo to get bluetooth or plug-in functionality. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Car-Bluetooth-Module-A... I think it replaces the CD function. There are threads on FerrariChat with more detail on installation, though from what I recall it's pretty simple.

I use something similar in my 430, which uses a comparable becker system. I can confirm it is an absolute piece of piss to fit, literally just pop the existing unit out and plug the block into the back. One option is to plug something like this into the back of the existing stereo to get bluetooth or plug-in functionality. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Car-Bluetooth-Module-A... Not as full featured as a full modern replacement unit, but if all you want is audio streaming it does the job nicely.

Look at the Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46. Modern functionality in a retro package from the 80s, before car radios started looking like a gaming machine. Sounds great and you can adjust the illumination colour finely to match that of the rest of the car. I have one in my F355, about £390.
I’m thinking of putting the same into my F355. Did you change the speakers at all and find any suitable upgrades which sit in the stick position? It’s on my list to do because the speakers are not really made to take the 20+ watts. It can be a problem finding compatible ones because you don’t want it interfering with the window.
I have to take the door panel off on the drivers door to fix a bad connection on the mirror so I plan to do it then. Ideally, better wiring would help but there’s a difficult multi-pole connector which connects the door to the car and it’s made of rather fragile plastic. The tweeters are behind the grilles on the dash and could usefully be replaced too.
The radio I mentioned has DAB but I’m not using it, I’m mainly interested in Bluetooth of my phone into it and for that it works very well.
When fitting the radio - a lying on the floor job - I took the passenger seat out.

When i got my F430 I got to DK to fit a more modern unit, it’s a fairly inexpensive Pioneer unit with DAB and Blue tooth for streaming and I think hands free.
It’s not that classic look of the Becker but isn’t outrageous.
I kept the original Becker unit that also had nav on it. God alone knows how poor that must have been trying to read.
Recently upgraded the sub woofer speakers with a kit from that chap in the states, which I think was very expensive as the speakers units seem to be quite cheap.
But it’s an improvement over the knackered originals.
Overall am well happy with it, sounds more than good enough. It’s not audiophile but then it’s a car and doesn’t need to be.

I recently put same in my Integrale. Very useful, I do use the DAB, and the iPhone connection for music streaming (and charging the phone!)
The bluetooth audio for phone isn't great, but I need to check if that's an install issue.

Yes I can see your point of view, the main benefit of the Bremen for me is being able to match the panel lighting colour very closely. It’s expensive for what it is though and is only half depth because there is no CD or tape drive.
My F355 originally came in 1995 with a Sony which didn’t last long. The car is now on its fourth radio, fortunately still only on its first engine.

Blaupunkt Essen is probably closer for a 360, but you cant change the display colour which is a shame. My F355 originally came in 1995 with a Sony which didn’t last long. The car is now on its fourth radio, fortunately still only on its first engine.
My 360 has a £99 Sony headunit which I put in as a stop gap whilst I work out what to do. If there was ever a demonstration of "you get what you pay for" the Sony headunit is the epitome.

Has anyone bothered with fitting a pop up screen radio?
I know they can look ugly as they hide the vents. I am yet to see one that doesnt
Mine had one when I bought it. An old Alpine unit, it was ok until it died, I am used to Alpine satnav's so was happy enough, but something modern would be better.I know they can look ugly as they hide the vents. I am yet to see one that doesnt
I am currently torn - pop out screen sat nav, covers vents a bit but useful and saves devices suctioned to windscreen or orignal becker, works well as a radio but not much good for 21st century and means portable satnav or phone suckered to the screen
