Hi all,

In anticipation of my dream 458 Spider arriving on the market (might take a while!), I'm preparing my garage. The door mechanism encroaches on the opending by some 13cm. If the mirrors are below the mechanism I have a usable 228cm opening. If the mirrors are higher, I only have 215cm and I understand the width of a 458 with mirrors folded is 210cm. I'd be very grateful if a kind owner could measure the height to the top of the wing mirrors.

My next question is, if I find a car without electric folding mirrors (I understand need interior/exterior electrochromic mirrors for this), are the regular mirrors able to fold in?

I'm going for the https://www.myparker.co.uk system, so hoping it will be easy enough to get the car in the garage even with these small tolerances.

Thanks again as always...

Sounds like you have the same kinda door clearance as me. I fold my mirrors in on the 458 and carefully reverse in. You'll be fine mate.

That youtube post is hilarious. I just need to find that chap to park the 458!

The issue with my garage is I could get the car in, but not be able to open the door, hence the MyParker system saving the day.

If anyone could help with my queries I'd be most grateful!

Ahhh sorry. Mines still a double garage. So once through the opening there's loads of room to get out and walk round the car.
